Before you decide to check in, be aware that this is an older establishment in need of renovation. There was a bottle top opener bolted to the bathroom counter. I mean come on, I haven't seen one of those since before the Clinton Administration. Anyway the place has no issue with cleanliness or sanitation. While clean, this place could use some decoration. The plain white walls are a little depressing. The mattress was comfortable. As a truck driver I was grateful for the tractor trailer parking that is so hard to come by even 30 miles from Seattle. Well for starters when we checked in the room wasn't cleaned very well. The floor could've used a broom and the TV wouldn't work. The room didn't match the pictures I viewed while making a decision on where we would stay but that wasn't my breaking point, here come that part so hold on tight. So I pulled the comforter back to check the situation there and wouldn't ya know there was a curly little guy resting up on my husband's pillow ( I immediately assigned that to him lol ) that was indeed my breaking point. I said that's it and grabbed our stuff and headed to the front desk. I usually don't say much in situations but this was unacceptable. We walked to the front desk and I handed the guy ( very very nice guy ) and said um there's a pube on the pillow, he was embarrassed but assured me it wasn't his ( like I said this was a nice guy ) he blushed a bit when I said most places leave a mint on the pillow lol but I draw the line on pubes, that's a no for me. So he offered us a different room, we hadn't much of a choice so we agreed. Okay new room, it was clean so I was greatfyl for that, TV worked but the remote didn't, husband went to the front desk guy and he come up and helped out. We did go to the store and get some Lysol and a magic eraser because my trust issues were greatly being tested at this point. SoThought I would relax in the tub and prepare to try and sleep and not think about the pube situation. So I use my Lysol and magic eraser and finally time to relax? No. The tub wouldn't hold water as the plug was broke I couldn't call front desk because I felt we put this poor guy through enough already and I was to cold to get out and let's face it, he would've been traumatized cuz I wasn't getting out to freeze. Well I managed to get out and get into bed. I was online reading reviews of the very place I was planning to sleep for the night ( never do that by the way, it's like googling your symptoms sending you into sheer panic ) I read where someone mentioned bugs! Bugs? I don't do bugs so my anxiety was in high gear and low and behold guess what showed up? A bug big enough to stand his ground in a fight! The husband and I inspected this buff little guy and he was just a tree bug so we left him be but kept an eye on him ( I just knew he was coming for me and guess what?? He freaking found MY pillow!! Okay so I picked up the pillow and took it to the window and released him back to the woods because he probably didn't want to be there either so we parted ways. And that was the end of our " issues " as I finally gave in and passed out. I am alive and semi well this morning, still having trust issues but at least I am not clutching my family size can of Lysol. As far as the place goes, it can use some work on cleanliness but as far as staff goes the guy from last night's " pube " fiasco was amazing and fixed the reported issues ASAP. read more

RUN! Unless you literally have no other choice and no where to stay, I would still consider sleeping in my car before staying here. Inside smells of old, moldy, cigarette smoke, and filth. Bed is very squeaky, stained, and slept on the top of the covers and tried to pretend I wasn't scared of what might be on the sheets or mattress. Stick in the window and lock on the tv, apparently for security reasons. Staff is not very helpful. I called and made a reservation, provided credit card information and was given a confirmation number, but when I arrived, they had no record of it. It's not like this place would be sold out, but was still concerning. I came here to get up early to go hiking with a group, and since I live hours away from this area, thought I would get a place to stay close to the trailhead. Next time; I might just sleep in my car or get up in the middle of the night and drive down. I wouldn't stay here again. It was just under $100, and realize you get what you pay for, but I've stayed in similar priced places in a pinch that had much better a accommodations. Also, I got sick hiking from the nasty smell of my clothes reeking of cigarette smoke. Sooooooo gross! Keep driving and don't go here! read more

This is a fine, Pacific North West establishment that is American owned and operated! My wife and I stayed here, chose the jacuzzi suite with a king size bed. It was spacious and comfy and fit our needs perfectly! The staff is friendly and helpful and we will DEFINITELY stay with these folks again! read more

Affordable and clean. It's not a fancy hotel or super modern but it works. They had a room available last minute, the office staff was very friendly and check in was really fast. The beds were VERY squeaky )like you roll over and it squeaks horribly) and the pillows are totally flat. If you plan ahead bring your own pillow. If they changed the beds and pillows they would make a huge difference in the quality of the rooms. read more

Not bad at all. If you want to stay in a place that isn't as expensive as the Salish, but you don't want to stay in a no-tell-motel, this is your spot. The people that work there are pretty odd, but the room was clean and I checked our sheets and they looked clean. It was certainly nothing fancy and I think it was a little overpriced. The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the place was the smell. It's not that strong, but it is unpleasant. Turning on the A/C in your room produces another weird smell. The stay was one day less than the original reservation, but I still had to pay for that day. The staff wasn't rude, just indifferent. The rate is reasonable, cheap gas next door and by Popeyes Chicken are the pluses. Oh and they allow dogs. Walls are thin 1st night the person next to me left the tv on all night and I could hear it clear as day. 2nd night I can hear the person upstairs walking(stomping) around. Don't stay here if you can help it. I just stayed my 3rd and final time. Thanks to their horrid customer service they lost a customer. I booked the room on booking.com, and a few weeks before the trip I opted to upgrade the existing reservation from one bed to two. Never been a problem before... until I went to check in. I provided the woman working behind the counter with the booking cofirmation number, and she was so confused and didn't understand my reservation. She tried to tell me I'd booked two rooms and needed to pay for two. When I showed her that my reservations before and after the upgrade had the same booking number she didn't understand and had to call her boss. She didn't explain the problem to her manager well, and insisting pay for 2 rooms. I was worried she'd charge me if I left, so I stayed and argued with her for a good half hour trying to explain reality to her and that I only had one reservation. After about 30 minutes her boss called and all of a sudden they could check me in. There was no apology for keeping me, or accusing me of lying, or threatening to double charge me... it was so off putting. The woman working at the hotel, and her boss by proxy, lack manners and tact, and seemingly a bit of intelligence as well. When we went to check out in the morning no one was to be found. This has got to be one of the most laughable hotels/dumps I have ever stumbled accross. We got there at around It took about 5:45pm on a Monday. The older receptionist seemed to be confused with her job, like the dumb basics, it took a whopping 45 minutes of struggling to get a room. She used her managers as a scapegoat and an answer for anything she didnt know. The booking site wasnt working right because the manager wasnt there. She wasnt supposed to set us up with room because of which. She claimed the hotel was packed and we're given a room doing so was against her managers request since The Edgewick Inn apparently doesn't accept ANY customer that isn't a resident in North Bend (Huge red flag for me) We were told that the only room that was available was a smoking single bed. We took it because we were already 30-40 minutes into the process before this was mentioned. After the frustrating check-in my fiance and I hoped that maybe the room would make up for that and oh god were we so wrong. The halls stenched of stale cigerattes, a bunch of lights were out at a corner in the hallway and so it took us a bit just to find the room. The room had the worst aroma of wet dog and an even more impressively overpowering stale cigeratte stench. The door opened up to a very small hallway only big enough to squeeze one person by. The carpets, walls and bed were all stained. The tv was mounted crooked with a huge padlock for a 24in screen with cables hanging down to the cable box that was plopped onto the dresser. The bed was incredibly noisy and uncomfortable. The room was only big enough to fit two twins so it was TINY, the bathroom had mold and the towels were small and in short supply. We are not paying a hundred dollars for a rundown, unmainted and uncared for motel. So we grabed our shit not even five minutes later and asked for a refund. The receptionist then told us she was asked by managment to slide any cash for rooms under the door (all doors were open in the office) she then opened her till and refunded us in 5's. Seriously its not worth it at all and I am honestly baffled that my experience at any hotel could be so poor for $100. I'd seriously just recommend finding motel 6 for $50 a night not only would it be half the price but the rooms are actually nice and you can still enjoy your hookers and drugs. read more

Front desk staff was barely polite. Clean non smoking room. Teeny little mounted flat screen tv (maybe 20") and a small fridge. AC and heat work. Bathroom is clean. No major complaints. We just got a room to take showers after Puget Sound Energy failed to turn on our gas after install (unfortunately on a Friday - no heat including hot water, until Monday). Had a nice time with my kids as we came back that evening and explained what a DUI is and why the man in the parking lot was getting one. Stayed here on a weekend trip to tour the Twin Peaks filming sites. While it's certainly not the Plaza, it's a decent place to rest your head for a couple of days. It's a bit of a truck stop or out of town construction worker type motel meaning not fancy or whatever. The front area behind the lobby has stale cig smoke smell. The outside a bit run down. The tv was broken. Fridge was cold and it worked well. The room was VERY clean. Very basic and plain, but clean. We got our room and my wife ended up not wanting to stay. I was fine with the room but... So we were there about an hour and I had to check us out. We had reservations for two nights. The guy at the front counter wanted to refund our money but didn't have the authority so he asked that we come back the follow day. I did and they refunded us for one of the two nights which I felt was very fair seeing as we had ruffled the beds and my wife had taken a shower. It was worth the $100 per night rate. read more

I booked a room (online) at this place 2 months ago for 1 night over Memorial Day weekend, because they take pets. Immediately after I booked the room, I called this place directly, to let them know that we were bringing our dog. I was told that was fine and that it would be $20.00 extra. We go to check in yesterday, and we're told that "no one wrote down that you were bring a dog and we don't have any more pet rooms available". After she looked, she found that she had 1 smoking room available that we could stay in. We went to look at it, walked in and walked out because of the stench in the room. Do Not Stay Here!! After seeing my room, I went back to the front desk to ask about different room. Wanting to stay in to enjoy some TV, I was disappointed in the 17" screen you had to watch from the bed. The Front desk clerk was rude and unfriendly. Then the manager was worse! They gave me another room across the hall that did have a larger TV, but they charged me an additional $12 per night. This second room was awful too. The plug-ins did not have face plates on them. When I plugged in my phone charger the receptacle was loose and I wondered if I would get shocked. I hope they don't rent this room to people that have their children with them! The next morning I went to open the curtains and they fell down in my hands, with the curtain rod. I'm sure I will be charged for that! The smoke alarm was not even hooked up! How safe is that? I really do not know why people write these horrible reviews! The rooms were clean!! NO FOOD IN FRIDGE!!!!!!!!!! I had the pleasure of only meeting one of the ladies ,she was there upon arrival and there again in the morning (not great on names but her name I believe is Lisa ) she was covering the night before for a sick coworker who she was really worried about(she said I do not know what I would do without her she needs to rest .) Getting back to the motel its older but clean (we stayed in a smoking room and it really was not to bad at all. It probably would be just about perfect if there was some painting of some rooms and maybe a picture and a lamp but other than those easy fixes (our stay was great!) People get real whom we met she was wonderful helpful and just a cleaning fool ,she was cleaning from windows to floorboards and I think she was enjoying!!!!! I was heading towards Spokane and decided to stop for the evening and get some rest. The Edgewick appeared to be the last accommodation for a bit of a stretch. For the price its not horribly bad , unlike Alot of reviews Ive read. It appears they are undergoing some major improvement on the place. It is very very dark in the parking lot at night. Very poorly lit ---safety /security concern I would imagine. Rooms were clean, lots of channels, comfy beds and lots of hot water. The only real off-putting aspect was the incredibly unprofessional demeanor of the lady at the front desk who introduces herself as the manager -Lisa I believe . She wasn't necessarily rude to me, but she doesn't seem to interact well with her co-workers. overheard heard a couple times her speaking in an unprofessional inappropriate manner--" successful leadership is influence, not authority!". As a truck driver, like getting out of the cab from time to time. Super8 is usually a good bet, they have truck parking. Edgewick has on site truck parking. The rooms are a different story. 22" TV on the wall is smaller then in my truck. Same goes with mini fridge. One picture on the wall $94 I expect a little more. They are 1 donut above a Motel 6. We arrived at the Edgewick at 2am after a looong day of traveling and all I wanted to do was get in bed and pass out. I pulled down the covers and discovered sheets covered in hair and brown and yellow stains. I almost cried. Our room obviously hadn't been cleaned, yet the bed had been made to look like it was. I went downstairs to the receptionist and told her the problem and she went and got me a new set of sheets, no apology. The new set didn't even look that clean either, but they weren't covered with short and curlies so I put them on the bed and went to sleep. The rest of the room wasn't that clean either, which is all I really want from a my lodging. Everything else was average. I had a miserable experience this morning re: the Edgewick Inn. I went to climb Mailbox Peak and was waiting for a friend in the parking lot of the Edgewick. It was 6:15 am and there were many parking spots available and all the best spots near the front are reserved for staff. (Which speaks volumes about how they prioritize). And a woman came out after I was there maybe 2 mins and was incredibly rude to me. I said I'd leave and she continued to be rude. It was amazing. read more

Not the best place to stay. The Lobby smells like smoke and the roofs are cracked. The beds are poor and there are a lot of stains on the wall. There is one mini fridge and 1 tv in all the rooms plus a microwave which had food stains on it. Overall, I would highly recommend not staying here. read more
