While they looked nice, it turns out that the cabinets are made from some form of plastic with a hair thin plastic veneer that is basically a photograph of wood. The adhesive on the veneer failed all at once and the entire veneer panels are simply falling off. It started when I came home and found a veneer panel on the floor. So, I went back to Style Craft and they told me that there was nothing they could do and that other customers have had the same problem. They showed less than zero interest in trying to help me. Their product is junk. Spring for a few extra bucks and buy cabinets built out of real wood.

We searched a lot of granite stores from Tampa down to Naples, Fl..... were quite surprised to find it in our own back yard. Granite Forever in Port Charlotte. A man "popped" out of nowhere... his name was Bob and he was the salesman. Very nice guy with a big smile. We explained that we were VERY EARLY in our house building plans. He said... no problem, we'll hold it for while. We looked around their vast selection and Voila'.... I found it. Dramatic with a white background. We put a deposit on the slab. Little did we know it would take longer than we expected to install. They actually held it 15 months!! With absolutely NO pressure to move it along. They smiled and held it for us. Tommy came out to template the counters, we discussed how I was trying to work with the grain. Installers, Matt & Mike came out to install. Then, Mark, the owner, and Bob came out to the site to take a look. Again, all very nice guys to work with. Though we are still in the process of completing our project, I thought I'd post some of the pictures. (I'll post more when completed.). We really, really like the granite. Great job to everyone involved.

The woman, I think Tara who answered the phone started asking questions about how old the windows were. (I knew where this was going) Immediately she went into a sales pitch about replacing all of my windows and throwing in an obviously rehearsed sales pitch. When I told her I didn't have the money to replace all of my windows now, she said, well I have to tell you we are booking out to 8 weeks. That's the same as getting a ridiculously high quote for a job a contractor doesn't want to do. I guarantee you if I wanted all of my windows replaced, I would not have an 8 week wait. If you're looking to replace all of your windows and doors, perhaps this is a good option for you but clearly they could not be bothered with a "small job" like mine when there's bigger fish to fry. So when it's time to replace my windows, and that day is coming, because they didn't want to help me now, I won't go to them for the big job.
