If it turns out that The Edge from U2 was born outside of wedlock, would that make him an "Edgebast*rd"? I'm not sure, and I don't care.
First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've only been to Edgbaston twice, and only inside as a paying customer once. Because I don't really like cricket. But despite that, it's one of the best Cricket grounds you'll ever visit. Everyone I went with was thrilled about being there, as they were big Cricket friends. They were Pakistani-British lads and they love cricket the way I love footy.
I've been to every significant stadium in UK & US, due to a lifelong obsession with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later followed Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, visiting hundreds of stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in the UK I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space!

This is the home of Warwickshire cricket and one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world. I can't stand cricket, but still.
One of the ends is known as the Jiggly Lights End... fun!
It can hold up to 25k people and opened in 1882. It's known to be the second best cricket ground in the country after Lord's in London. The crowd is known to be very intense here. For a cricket crowd... lol.
Until 2000, Edgbaston had a fun rain-cover system known as Brumbrella, a play on the nickname of Birmingham.
By the way, when in Birmingham, try a Chicken Madras from Akbars and a Mixed Kebab from Lahore on Ladypool Rd. read more
