The Eden Worship Center is the site of an annual quilt show & sale. I went with a friend.

It's close enough to Shipshewana to make it a side trip to the huge quilt show in Shipshewana. What makes this smaller show so nice is that a lot of the quilts are for sale, and the prices are super awesome! I wonder how they let their creations go for so little, but if you want a ready-made lap or bed quilt, or a top that you can quilt yourself or send out for longarming, you will love this great sale.
I also saw a 1940's era hand pieced quilt top, a bit damaged, for only $50. A museum piece, if you want to start a serious collection.
It's not just quilts. I saw quilted jackets, table runners, pillows, tote bags, etc. I got a very clever organizer made from a large coffee can, with a fabric covering with dividers and pockets. I got a quilty pendant for one of my friends. It was a tiny quilt block encased in glass.
There are also vendors: Quilt shops bring fabric, books & patterns, tools and other sewing notions. So support an LQS (local quilt shop) instead of buying online all the time.
The church members staffing the event are super polite and helpful. I definitely would not pass up the opportunity to go back. read more
