Before reading this, I would like everyone to understand that this is not a malicious post. I'm taking the time to write this review in hopes that I prevent what happened to me from happening to other women. A friend of mine had recommended Bridget, a stylist she had only seen once, but insisted she did a great job. My first appointment with Bridget, my hair was down to my last rib, so pretty long. I asked her to trim and inch off and do some highlights and lowlights. My hair was a healthy, dirty blonde at the time, not jet black, so it was a reasonable request. I showed her pictures of exactly what I wanted and she said she could do it no problem. When I left the salon, my hair was to my collar bone, and so thin you could see through it. No low lights were put in my hair, only some type on painted on bleach that caused my hair to smoke. Only when I asked Bridget to rinse it out because it was smoking, did she do so. She blamed chemically burning 6 inches of my hair off on the "water I wash my hair with." I have had black, blonde, purple, blue hair. This has NEVER happened before. So water clearly was not the issue. I paid over $200 for this girl to completely destroy my hair, just for her to tell me I can come back so we can "finish" Finish what?! There was NO WAY my hair could handle any more chemicals. Now it felt like hay. I was terrified to even touch it because pieces were just breaking off. I'm sure all women can relate, hair is a HUGE part of your appearance as well as confidence, and being told that the result was YOUR fault, when you just paid hundreds of dollars is OUTRAGEOUS. I did not schedule to come back, obviously. After crying for days, I spoke with the owner who also insisted it was caused by "harsh water" I asked her why the stylist, regardless of the water, didn't put low lights in my hair when that's what I asked for and what we agreed on. She didn't have an answer for that, only recommended that I come back to the salon and get repairing treatments done. She did not offer any of these treatments for free. So her solution was having me come back and spend more money. I wish it ended there, but a few weeks later the girl who referred me to Bridget in the first place had the same experience as I did. Her hair is also now destroyed. It will take months for her, and YEARS for me, to get our hair back to the condition it was before Bridget touched it. And the salon took zero responsibility. I have seen other stylists to fix her bad work and no one can seem to understand how she messed it up THIS bad. Theres no reasonable explanation I can come up with to justify why she would do what she did to mine and my friends hair. HAIR IS A WOMENS CROWN. EDEN SALON shows zero respect for that. Years of time, money, and good care that I put into my hair was wasted in about a half hour. read more

Dear K.R. Starting your review off by saying it won't be a malicious post and then completely berating the girl and the salon owner, is very intentionally malicious. Bridget has been doing my hair for two years now and when I first came in to see her my hair was box dyed black, on top of box dye red. When I left, she had completely transformed my hair, bringing me back to my natural auburn brown hair. My hair had felt the healthiest it had been in years. I was on the journey to become platinum blonde, so every appointment after that, which was every 4 weeks in my case, I came in for a full foil and cut, where my entire head was being bleached. I have never once left Eden Salon unhappy. I've recommended a handful of my friends to see her and they have also all been very happy with their results. I understand that not everyone can have the same kind of experience, and maybe your hair didn't turn out the way you had hoped, but it's seriously hard to believe that a licensed professional stylist would be hired, let alone kept as an employee for over a year, if she performed this way. I usually don't respond to reviews, but as someone who studied cosmetology for a few years, I couldn't look past this one. In regards to the harsh water comments, both Bridget and the salon owner were correct. Sometimes with harsh water, which is common, it can create a chemical reaction when it comes in contact with lightener/color. Usually when we know the hair has been exposed to hard water, we do a clarifying treatment, but without knowing, it is hard to tell before reacting. If you're going to post a review that is clearly malicious, own up to it. Oh, and make sure you have the facts right. read more

I had Eden Salon do my hair and makeup (along with 7 bridesmaids and a MOB) for my wedding and we all cannot say enough good things about them. The whole morning was nothing short of perfect. Ashley, who I had a trial with months previously, got to the house early and set up the room and got the ball rolling. The artists were ahead of schedule the whole day! Taking my bridesmaids one by one to tackle hair and makeup. Everyone was extremely satisfied with how they looked afterwards and the girls stuck around to do touch ups until the last minute. Ashley made me feel so at ease and comfortable that morning- there was literally no stress at all! My hair and makeup turned out even better than I imagined. The girls finished ahead of schedule and there was no rushing involved. They were efficient, clean, and so fun! Ashley stuck around to be available for last minute touch ups for me and had me feeling confident and beautiful when I left for the ceremony. We could not recommend eden salon more! read more

Eden Salon is first off a beautiful salon, use all nice products and is so clean inside. I always see Bridget when i go and i never leave disappointed. BRIDGET IS A HAIR GOD!!! I have been a happy customer of Bridget at Eden Salon for a handful of times and every time i leave so pleased. Bridget wants to uncover exactly what you're looking for and she will make professional recommendations to make sure you guys are both on the same page on what will look best. She really wants to make sure every clients leaves happy and she does a great job at that. From low-lights, high-lights, balayage and giving me my first short hair cut after my hair has almost been touching my lower back my whole life Bridget has exceeded all my expectations. First of all, I literally just created a Yelp account to leave a review on this heavenly place. I recently had Eden Salon do hair and make-up for my wedding and they blew my entire bridal party (and myself) away with their talents. The Eden Salon girls, Ashlee, Kim, and Shana, are beyond talented and were wonderful to be around while getting ready. I was amazed that you could just show them a picture of what you wanted and they somehow made it better than the picture! They made you confident and relaxed. Additionally, the owner, Ally, was a dream to work with. She responded very quickly to all my emails and was very organized. I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone. Let's just say I never had a hair stylist I routinely went to until I started going to Eden Salon! It's absolute bliss inside. It's amazing that so much thought has not only gone to my hair but my experience as a whole. The waiting area is beautifully set by a fire place and you can enjoy a refreshment with cucumber water while waiting for your stylist. Once you finally get to see your stylist, mine is Ally and she's amazing, they'll use nothing but the best, organic products in your hair! I'm from North Carolina and visited the salon solely based off of its yelp reviews. I'm in Massachusetts for a break from my school, and needed a haircut. I really didn't know what to expect, but my experience was nothing less than five stars. I was greeted with smiling faces, and a very welcoming staff. My hairdresser was Mariah, and she followed exactly what I wanted. I walked out feeling more confident in a haircut and I have in a long time. Came to Eden with 8 girls for hair/makeup for my wedding in May. The staff was nice enough to let us bring food and drinks for the waiting area and the owner sent me a schedule with everyone's hair/makeup times to keep us organized. On the day of everyone was right on schedule with enough time for touch ups before we left. All of the girls makeup looked great while still making them look like themselves. I was so happy with my own hair/makeup and it photographed great. Highly recommend for weddings! read more

This is a great salon. Allie has been cutting my hair for years and when I found out she opened her own location I had to follow her there! She cut my hair today and did an amazing job as usual (I got so many compliments throughout the day). In addition the space looks so beautiful and is very peaceful. Bridget is the best!! She is so friendly and makes you feel so comfortable while you're there. She understood exactly how I wanted my hair and she cut exactly the amount I asked her to. The scam is they try to pull you in with her as she may only be the one w any experience. Than Laine refuses to see anyone and she tries to put you with one of the flunkees. No thanks. Took my sister to Eden Salon to get her hair done before prom. Bridget was her hair dresser and she did an AMAZING job. She listened to everything my sister asked for and the updo came out even better than the pictures she showed her. Exceptionally reasonably priced as well.
