I cannot stand this practice. I've been many, many times due to the location being convenient but…read moreI'm done. I consider it to have a mostly incompetent staff and to find them to prioritise money over morals. I've had countless bad experiences there and have heard that doctors offices no longer recommend them.

I responded before and after getting the hearing test that I knew my right ear had hearing loss, but as in the past the vertigo was from my "crystals" being out of alignment.... they decide (never saw a doctor) I have something awful going on and want to blast my system with prednisone, and antibiotics for 10 days, come back in 2 weeks..... fast forward 2 weeks, still have vertigo, can't drive, walk a straight line, and now my immune system is fried. They decided (again, no doctor) to put me through more tests. One of which burnt my ear canal. Blowing warm air into the ear canal to test the ear drum. I repeatedly asked the lady to STOP the test, it hurt so badly. She didn't. FINALLY, they did the Epley maneuver to move the crystals back into place. I left this office, and within 2 days had one of the worst sinus infections. (In the past month this is the only place I had been to.) It's been two weeks since then and my ear is still healing from the burn. I did go to another dr who confirmed my ear canal was burnt. I will never return there, I will never recommend them. "Do no harm". Ha! Beware! They want to do expensive tests, when I told them it was my crystals, and a simple maneuver would have given me Relief, they insisted on ridiculous testing.... so sorry I trusted them and didn't stop their bullshit. Beware.

If you're looking for an allergist and can't decide, choose this practice! Dr. Rabinowitz treats you like a person, not just a number, unlike the big chain offices. I have been visiting Allergy & Asthma Consultants since March of this year. Hands down one of the best decisions I have made for my health in a while. Dr. Nadel is so so so sweet and really took the time to educate me on what was causing my issues and how to better address them. He was thoughtful and considerate. He is probably one of my favorite doctors I have ever interacted with in my life. I had an allergy test done (not fun at all, but totally worth it) and now I am getting allergy shots for several allergens. I have already noticed a substantial improvement of my symptoms and I am so thankful for Dr. Nadel and his team. Showing up for my shots is quick and easy (not necessarily painless, but it isn't awful - the sore arms are far worse than the needle pricks). Considering how much I have improved, sore arms and a little inconvenience is a small price to pay. If you are serious about relief, there is a strong chance allergy shots will help it just requires a commitment because you have to go on a schedule with the frequency decreasing over time. I am now going every two weeks which is so manageable! I am really happy I chose Dr. Nadel with Allergy and Asthma Consultants. If you're looking for an allergist - this is your place!

I have mixed feelings from my first appointment with Dr. Chacko. I was able to get an appointment…read morepretty quickly, but as the Chacko team travels all over the city, there was some confusion about their office location when they were running late for their initial appointments after driving from another location in the city. Despite their late arrival, the wait time was still pretty short, and a nurse quickly chatted with me and kicked off my allergy scratch testing. Dr. Chacko read the tests himself, which he said he does with all his patients. His demeanor was different from any doctor that I'd ever met. He's obviously intelligent, confident, self-assured, and casual in his communication. He asked to use my cell phone and took a recording of my back while narrating, showing my allergy tests and reviewing his analysis of my results. I struggled a bit with my appointment because how he read my allergy results was completely different from my previous doctors. At my previous doctor's office, my doctor was mostly absent from the appointment and a nurse gave me a list of 30 food allergies that she recommended doing an elimination diet to determine if I should eat or not. Dr. Chacko essentially said, you don't have food allergies, ignore what the previous doctor said. Though I appreciated his directness and no-nonsense approach, it was simultaneously off-putting considering I've avoided dozens of foods for years based on two prior allergists' recommendations. I felt shocked and asked a couple questions, but to be honest, didn't feel heard in the moment. He gave me his card and said to feel free to email him directly at any time. However, if you're looking for a different approach to your allergies, Dr. Chacko may have the answer for you.

When I finally saw the doctor, he said he would send in several prescriptions for me, but none of them were actually called in. I had to call the office myself to get that taken care of. Then they forgot to schedule my nickel test while I was there, so again, I had to call back to arrange it. Next, they said they would send me paperwork for the nickel test, but it never arrived. I had to call and request it --twice. I signed and returned the forms twice, and yet they still claimed they never received them. When I followed up, the staff member admitted she had personally handed my paperwork to the nurse that morning. To make matters worse, they sent me for lab work, and the lab drew the wrong tests. It has been a series of mistakes, poor communication, and complete disorganization from start to finish. I've never had to chase down so many details just to get basic care. I truly hope this office improves its organization and follow-through, because patients deserve much better.
