Huge praise for this fine establishment. They came through for me and did a great job on my exhaust. The only downside to having the exhaust done, is that I am using more fuel because I like kicking it into sport mode and hear that rubble as I get on it. I had a flat tire one day just before noon, called eddies because I knew they had tow service and tires. it took awhile for them to get me because they were pretty busy. So busy they didnt have time to get my vehicle done. i told them I needed it by 7am the next day. There was no argument, the manager just said "OK, we'll get it done. they had it done by 5pm. We've been Walton EMC gas customers for a few years now. We've tried most of them at one time or another depending on the deal. They are all pretty much the same except for price structure. I do feel like we've had more pleasant phone reps with Walton EMC as compared to others. So that is a nice plus. You can also read my review of EMC Security (also part of Walton EMC including natural gas). I do not like the alarm branch of this company. But I will say that we have been nothing but fully satisfied with the excellent, responsive, friendly and price-matching abilities of the customer service in the natural gas department. Of course there is little expertise, technical knowledge or installation required when switching to their natural gas service. The alarm service is a different story, of course, and was not a pleasant experience. read more

If you don't want to be charged $20 for one day of non-use for the Natural Gas, make sure that you ask what the final billing date of the following month will be. It is NOT the same date that is on your gas bill from Walton EMC and no one volunteers this information. So even if you don't use one therm or one CCF, you will pay the full month's gas charge and Walton EMC will say that 'they can't help it"...disgusting business practice! read more

I was a longtime customer and the contract expired. No courtesy email or call though I was with them close to 10 years, and I feel cheated by them. Customer service reps were not troubled at all that I was upset that all winter I paid .99 per therm. Not understanding why the bills were so high, I turned heat down to 63 trying to fix it, so freezing wearing coats inside, etc. Of course, I should have realized what had happened, but have a very busy life and missed it --- It became obvious speaking to customer service that this is a good way for the company to make more money, and it is a policy not to inform customers. read more

One of the most exasperating experience I have ever endured was trying to change the account from my deceased spouse into my name. After telling the customer service person my spouse was deceased I was told 3 times they would to speak with her before the account could be changed into my name. After the third time I gave up and switched to Gas South. read more
