This mechanic is the biggest scammer I have ever met. Had a few things done under this guy, every time he did it wrong/did not fix and the car had to go back. Every. Time. It was pathetic but he always gave an excuse that he would do better/fix it and I felt bad bc he is a feeble old man, so I gave him another a chance. Last time and final straw was my brakes/rotors, which I took to a third party after I suspected they were not fixed like I had paid him to do, and viola, I was given a "slap job" with used brakes! Do not use this mechanic if you want to get your vehicle fixed as you paid for it to be, he does not do quality work and will not fix it, only taking shortcuts or just completely not doing the job while saying they did! Incredible service, very high value. I came here to get my coolant pipe fixed after another shop tried quoting me an exorbitant amount. Paid for a service that's was not completed. Took the car back after realizing they didn't do it the first time. Still was not completed. Took it to another mechanic to do the job and was able to see that Eddies did not do the job I paid for. Never answers the phone. Terrible customer service. Scratched the door of my car as well while it was in there shop. Do not recommend trusting this shop. read more

This auto shop saved me! I was on a cross country road trip and got into an accident a couple miles away and they recommended this shop. First off, the area is a bit shady and the outside isn't beautiful, but that isn't why you go to an auto shop. Jim looked at my car immediately, put it up on the rack and gave me the details within 20 minutes. He fixed my car enough to get it on the road safely and I made it another 1600 miles to my destination and a local shop. They were friendly, beyond efficient, they knew cars more than most mechanics you'll find at any chain, and they were cheap. If I lived in OKC I would never take my car elsewhere!!! read more

Multiple attempts were required to correct the misfire on my car. A mechanic should troubleshoot before replacing parts and confirm it's repaired before giving back to the customer. Extremely poor communication...never returned a single phone call. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality of the repair, service, and communication. They probably do great with tune-up type stuff. Don't recommend for troubleshooting or diagnostic work. read more

Great honest people! Brought my Volkswagen golf in after taking it to fire stone. Fire stone could not fix the bearing on the wheel yet quoted me $500 for the part and work before hand after finding out they could not work on the bearing and wasting 3 hours of my time I took it over to Eddies and he quoted me $200 cheaper while putting in quality work and reassurance that I would have safe travels! About a month ago I was driving home from Arizona to Illinois. 30 minutes before I reached Oklahoma City the plastic undercarriage on my Volkswagen came loose and started dragging and bouncing against the highway. I went to Eddies Import Auto Service to have it looked at because of excellent Yelp reviews, and they did not disappoint. Not only did Aaron at Eddies confirm the problem, he removed the offending (and at that point unnecessary) undercarriage and disposed of it for me. I was back on the road in twenty minutes. So if you are traveling and experience car troubles near Oklahoma City, I highly recommend them. Obviously my car issue was very minor, but the efficiency and integrity of Eddies Import Auto was very impressive and reassuring, especially being so far from home at the time. Perfect auto shop experience, couldn't have been better... ok, a Pepsi machine in the shop would have made it perfect, but who's gonna bitch about something that trivial? Checking out VW repair places on here...found Eddie's.....two FIVE STAR reviews from out of town people in trouble, and the reviews specifically mention how good they are and how they're fairly priced. I was in...took my car in, left it overnight as I was late getting it over there, my bad...and went by this AM..they don't do exhaust, needed a catalytic converter, recommended someone, I went to Muffler King on South Western, it took half an hour! half an hour! half an hour! to replace it! I believe this was due to the owner saying yeah, we know Eddie's-when I mentioned they sent me when I went in. The guys are great, kindly explain what is wrong, don't promise anything they don't deliver, have more Bugs around than you can shake a stick at, a clean shop, makes me wish I was going to stay here in OKC and have them do more..anything!--they wanted to the car as it would only be fr the good of the car. Highly recommended. I'm not really a "car guy" but I like to wrench on my own rides. I found myself needing a new clutch in my WRX, and on the quickness. I wasn't looking forward to a weekend of frustration and possibly crushing myself with a transmission, so I started calling around. My normal mechanic was pretty pricey and couldn't get me in for while (gotta have a car, yo) and the dealership was double both of those things (hey you never know, maybe they had a free clutch special?!). Based on Yelp reviews I called Eddies to see, and they were way more reasonable, (I won't say cheaper, but more in line with what I expected to pay) and could get me in the next day. They sounded knowledgeable, and I appreciated the straight forwardness. So dropped my car off in the morning. My only minor complaint is it took a little longer than quoted so was out a car for two days, but like I said, I know working on cars, and those things happen. Work was done, at the quoted price (like to the dollar) and I'm back in business. Guys running the shop are down to earth, and later told me I would've hated life had I tried to do it myself, a couple of bolts were seized on the tranny. If you have a car that you love and you want someone to make sure it's taken care of, take it to Eddies. I originally was going to take my car to a Volkswagen dealership, but decided to take it to someone smaller and I received a recommendation for Eddies. I am so glad I did. They were able to fix my car without having to order a new part (which I'm sure had I gone to the dealership I would have ended up paying hundreds). These guys are great. Finding a shop you trust for diesel cars is hard and I better be in a real pinch before I'll go to the dealer. They hook you to the diagnostic for FREE! That is huge. They also gave me a print out and showed me detailed photos of what they found/did and where. Hourly rate is less than the dealer. Car repairs of any kind suck and are expensive but must be done. I'll be going back to Eddie's for whatever comes next. read more
