Easy private parking. M'lady is enthusiastic about Oscar's work, too and had me bring our main little guy. I think he has a new favorite barber! He loves the air-blast cleanup part. A man's relationship with his barber, and the etiquette in our sacred space starts early and this is a great introduction to the ritual for our guy. Tip your barber for a job well-done, learn the small talk and silence rhythm of hanging out, the patience and time to think, guys know what I mean. They were kind gentlemen. I will not be returning…read more The man who cut my hair used his cutting instruments extremely harshly, and I say that as a man with a very high pain tolerance. I have never been to a barber who smacked my head with his brush to straighten my hair out, nor have I been to one who dug into my scalp with his blow dryer on full blast just to "finish up." He also did not use any kind of protective salve when cutting my nape hairline, leading to red irritation marks and small cuts in my skin that he disinfected with rubbing alcohol at the end of the ordeal. I do not see the need for a disinfectant when it would have been easier to simply not cut into my skin at all. He also did not move his body when cutting my hair, and instead spun me around quite a bit to better accommodate his stationary position. I understand that the chair swivels for a reason, but considering that I got dizzy because he moved me so much, I think he may need to get used to the idea of moving his legs more next time. The language barrier between me and my barber was tolerable at first, but after a while became irritating. I do not have a problem with someone not speaking English so long as they have an interpreter; but considering that my attempts to correct his cuts failed because his interpreter/partner was on his phone and not paying attention, I was understandably displeased. Additionally, there was no sign or notice stating that they were a cash only establishment. I had to drive to my home and back just to pay him, which was not only incredibly annoying, but also a waste of time and gas. I understand that these men are simply trying to make a living, but personally, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of practice I received there. In the end, my haircut turned out decent, but for the ridiculous amount of effort it took for me to get it, I will happily take my future business elsewhere.
