I am so glad that I found Dr. Havranek on Yelp and decided to make an appointment; I believe he is…read morethe best choice there is! When I started to have severe GI issues, I booked an appointment with my local and current GI doctor only to be asked generic survey like questions, yelled at, and told I had IBS before being pushed out of the exam room. Luckily, I had made an appointment with Dr. Havranek as well in case I needed a second opinion. It is pretty obvious that his staff is highly trained; they are always polite, knowledgeable, and available. When I first met Dr. Havranek, he shook my hand, was so polite, and asked individualized questions to my GI needs. He was even able to predict some of my symptoms before I got sick showing that he was listening to me and knows his stuff! If you didn't know, he does research at his facility, which helps me to trust his expertise even more because he is constantly learning about the digestive system and not just using outdated information. When I had to meet with the nurse practitioner, instead of him, I was anxious, but now I am ashamed of my preconceived notions. The nurse was very helpful, informative, and polite (if you visit this practice, you can see that politeness is a value). I came unprepared to my appointment, which was completely my fault, and the nurse went out of her way to ensure that the reason for my visit was met. The second time I had an appointment with Dr. Havranek, the nurse practitioner was going to see me instead. When I asked to see the Dr., the nurse who took my blood pressure seemed very pleasant and unperturbed and made it happen! At this visit, even though he was busy with other rounds and endoscopy procedures, he took his time to answer all of my questions and set my mind at ease without rushing me through the door. We have a plan in place to get me to feeling better, and I am so happy that someone is finally taking my pain seriously! If you're concerned with price, they work out payment plans and are very understanding. You get results right away over the phone or through patient portal with email notifications. I love Maria, the medical assistant! She always has the biggest smile on her face, is accommodating, responsive to calls, and helpful I cannot say enough nice things about this practice and staff! They make you feel welcomed and like you're at the right place to get the help you need. I made sure to visit five times before posting a review for accuracy :)

He had to take time off work to chase down office staff to find out what the issue was, not the other way around. So proper prep protocol for medication and diet is not going to be able to be adhered to at this point. If anything happens to him as he is our sole income earner and we have a child with cerebral palsy, I will definitely be seeking legal advice to action against this office.

Geesh! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be reviewing my experience in getting a…read morecolonoscopy. At least, this review will NOT have any pictures! This was my third experience with a colonoscopy and my third time to get one with this organization. The first time was way back when it was located in a smaller clinic near the Methodist Hospital. The second was at this location during Covid. That was a very interesting experience, as it seemed like I was the only patient there. They made you sit in your car until they called you in. Everyone you came in contact with was wearing a mask, which was still a fairly new thing. Back in the procedural area, there were very few people in the halls. Maybe they limited the number of patients on the schedule and reduced staff. It was a surreal and apocalyptic experience for sure. This time, everything was different. The lobby was about 75% full. There were at least 8 people working behind the counter. Everything worked like clockwork. I checked in. I sat in the lobby filling papers out. I turned my papers in. They called me back and started prepping me for the procedure. From start to finish, at least ten people had been there to perform a specific role. And let me tell you that every single one of them was very nice and respectful. Each one of them took the time to explain their part, answering any questions I had. I never had the opportunity to feel embarrassed. I undressed to the point of being completely naked in total privacy and was instructed to lay on the bed and cover myself with a blanket before calling someone in. Even when I was laying on my side with my massive rear end uncovered, I never felt shy or embarrassed. It was all done so quickly and professionally that I didn't have time to worry about anything. Before I knew it, the procedure was over, I was in a recovery room with my lovely wife, and someone was serving me some delicious apple juice. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for your gastronomic care. I really like Doctor Chirag Patel, but I am confident they are all wonderful doctors. The place is clean, super organized, and staffed by awesome people. I'll be back in 2011 to do it all over again.

They have a ton of doctors there and my husband was able to get his colonoscopy very quick. Upon checking in, the staff was all very friendly. The big waiting area was super cold, so definitely plan for that. Their communication was great and I was able to go to my husband after his procedure was complete. They are very fast and efficient at this office which was welcome by us.

I never needed a Gastro consult or procedure before & he was most helpful. Kudos to Hassan! After my procedure, Rebecca was my recovery nurse and she was amazing and very patient. She was amazing and took her time to make sure I was OK, despite my nausea and dizziness. Thank you, Rebecca!

The situation involved an appointment that was scheduled as an office visit rather than a colonoscopy. What made the experience especially frustrating was that I had been trying to arrange this appointment approximately five months in advance, yet instead of working with me to resolve the scheduling issue, Sylvia repeatedly focused on blaming me for supposedly making the appointment incorrectly. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen when scheduling medical procedures. What matters is how staff handle those situations. Unfortunately, Sylvia's behavior came across as dismissive, argumentative, and completely lacking in customer service. Rather than trying to understand the situation or find a solution, the conversation seemed to center on assigning blame to the patient. Patients should not be made to feel as though they are an inconvenience or at fault when trying to navigate the scheduling process for an important medical procedure. After waiting and planning months in advance, I expected professionalism, courtesy, and a genuine effort to help--not an attitude that left me feeling blamed and frustrated. I hope management takes this kind of feedback seriously. Regardless of who made the scheduling error, patients deserve respectful communication and staff who are willing to help resolve problems rather than make the customer feel responsible for them. The Doctor in the group is spectacular and she has lost a customer and likely many future customers due to Sylvia's behavior.
