The food was delicious, my duck perfectly cooked and came with a nice selection of veges and chunky batons of potato. There's a good wine and beer selection and some very tempting cocktails on offer. We found the service to be good - attentive but not intrusive - although we were not offered any water on our table which we found strange - not sure if that's the norm here. After downing a few wines we needed a glass of water! All in all I was nicely impressed with Portobello and would definitely come again. Even the outdoor section is nice and large, with many tables for the smokers or for the folk who prefer to drink outdoors in nice weather. But I think this place holds a special place in my heart because I used to frequent the place every other week when I lived in the area, and now when I go there it's almost impossible not to see someone who I know.
