Larger (not large, just larger) pharmacy very near the Pera Museum and Pera Palace Hotel. Not anywhere old enough to have been used by Agatha Christie, but I came here and got some Dexofen, a more effective and safer painkiller than is available in the USA. They have a number of medications that are approved for use in Europe and Asia that aren't found in the USA, on the other hand many addictive and dangerous drugs and some misused medications like opiates and antibiotics are not available here. Pharmacies in Turkey are usually only limited to medicine and some other healthcare supplies but this one has a few other sundries, if I understand what sundries are. Drugstores in Turkey aren't like Walgreens or CVS in the USA, they are limited to medicine and staffed only by pharmacists. So if it's bad customer service, overpriced goods, or unhealthy snacks, you'll have to find that elsewhere. read more
