You yelpsters...............get with the program. We were traveling from Florida to Denver and planned the trip around stopping at the Prairie Rose. Such a fun place, great people, great price, can't be beat. We arrived at 5pm and was in the bar / dining room by 5:30. We met Megan and she loaded us with the history and stories of the Praire Rose. Love Barbara behind the bar. So I had a couple gins, my Bride had a couple wines. We split an app and an entree. VERY GOOD. Lots of locates enjoy the bar and dining room. As a bonus, there was outdoor seating, outdoor bar and a firepit. This place has it all. Just come and experience it. WE SHALL RETURN!!! FYI: If you read a review and considers the food pricey.......move to the next review. It's all small-town pricing, love and quality.

The bed was incredibly comfortable (noting the mattress was NOT an antique but rather a new, high-end pillow-topped mattress - I checked!) and the hallways are chock full of old photos and newspaper clippings as well as numerous museum-quality items and relics associated with the area's history. An awesome hidden gem located right off I-70, making it a great stopover on travels to or through west central Kansas. The restaurant inside the place, Rosie's Bar and Grill, is equally fantastic with great food and even better service. Love it!

The biggest problem was a dirty floor; in any corner, you'd find crumbs and hair. That's not okay. And the room was just generally run down, with old, worn walls, furniture, and fixtures. Breakfast was very basic but did have something I enjoy, biscuits and gravy. Bottom line, it beat sleeping in our vehicle, but we're not likely to stay again.

We arrived to learn the pool and hot tub were not working, and from the green color had not been usable for some time. Then the room had old cans on the floor. The king bed was fine, but the couch was completely broken, and you sunk to the floor if you tried to sit down. The pull out bed you can see in the photos was bent and useless. Not that anyone could sleep on a 2 millimeter mattress even if it had been working. Finally, the light could not be turned off. The ceiling light just flashed incessantly when the switch was in the off position. The employees just shrugged when we told them the problems. Best Westen Plus used to stand for a decent room, but this location is atrocious.

When I checked into room 106 the toilet seat was not attached to the hinges. I informed the front desk which the lady promptly came and tempted 20 minutes to fix yourself. She said I will call maintenance and have him come down and take care. With an a few minutes a young kid with a Walmart screwdriver socket set came in, so I'll get it fixed for you. Spent about 15 minutes in the bathroom said it's so much fixed. All they did was take down the hinges did not reattach to seat to the hinges Ended up going to my car getting a screwdriver and channel locks disassembling the seed from the toilet popping toilet seat back onto its hinges, taking the hinge by pushing the pin in and placing the toilet seat fixed back onto the toilet and Tightening t back down

The manager has bent over backwards to make sure my stay is comfortable and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. Everything in Quinter is within walking distance if you want to get some steps in while you're here. If not, there's a gas station with a mini restaurant and a Dollar General right by the motel. The beds are comfortable and the price is half (or less) than that of other hotels.
