TICK! NO THANK YOU LYME DISEASE!

This was by far the most disgusting place I've ever attempted to stay at!! Couldn't actually stay as it was too nasty....I only live about an hour away but we were going to Gillette last night and figured what the heck, we'll make a night of it and stay out. There were flies on every wall and the ceilings when we walked in. Bathroom door wouldn't close as it's blown out and covered in black mold. The kicker was finding a tick in the bed even after having inspected it for bed bugs! The person working at the time didn't even offer another room (not that we would have taken it, but there's still a principle there), and basically said go screw yourself. Save yourself the energy and frustration and just stay at one of the places right at Gillette/Patriot Place!!!!

Sorry, if i could give zero stars I would. I was attacked by bed bugs during my stay. (See photo) I have bites all over my body. Also, like another yelper said, the wifi connection does not hold long enough to load a web page. Spend the extra $20 and stay at Courtyard or a different hotel down the street.

The room was spotless, modern, and had a sleek, comfortable vibe. I deducted a star because we purchased a room with stadium view and had a view of the roof and the parking lot. The bed was cozy, but the pillows deserve their own shoutout, they were unbelievably comfortable, the kind you actually miss once you get home. Down at the bar, Tom made the experience even better. He mixed up one of the best mules I've ever had and was genuinely great to talk with...friendly, and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd stay again, both for the comfort and the hospitality.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Absolutely unacceptable…read more We stayed here over Christmas 2023 and were forced to change rooms four times due to serious health and cleanliness issues. Two different rooms on two different floors had cigarette smoke pouring into the room through the vents, making them uninhabitable. At one point we were moved into a room with a couch that was soaked in urine. The pee smell was unmistakable throughout the room and was coming from the couch. At that point, after already moving multiple times, we asked if the couch could simply be replaced instead of uprooting us again. The front desk attendant flatly refused and forced yet another room change. When we tried to move the urine-soaked couch out ourselves because we were exhausted and no one would help, the same staff member threatened to call the police on us. In the final room, the cigarette smoke issue still persisted, but we gave up and slept with the windows open in freezing winter temperatures because we could not handle moving yet again. The staff throughout this ordeal were hostile, dismissive, and showed zero concern. This felt like staying in a run-down roadside motel, not a Marriott hotel. This property should be investigated by the health department. Between the urine-soaked furniture, pervasive cigarette smoke, and staff behavior, this was disgraceful. Management should be ashamed. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

We cannot comment on the rooms because we never even got to see one…read more During a severe rain and wind storm last week, the hotel we were staying at lost power, as did many nearby businesses. Since Best Western was on the same street, we decided to try there simply to get somewhere warm and safe for the night. That decision turned out to be a huge mistake. Before heading over, I called to ask if they had electricity. The woman who answered acted as if this was a strange question, which should have been our first red flag. When we arrived, she then told us their power had gone out and their systems were not fully working -- the same thing she seemed offended I had asked about earlier. We were told to sit in the breakfast/seating area while we checked prices and tried to make a reservation. It was cold and dimly lit, though she did turn on a light for us. We were extremely quiet and respectful the entire time. I made a reservation through an app (which we use frequently without issue). The app provided a confirmation number, but the hotel claimed it was not showing in their system. After waiting and checking multiple times, there was a shift change at the front desk. The new desk agent was extremely rude and acted annoyed every time I politely asked if the reservation had come through yet. The app's customer service attempted to call the hotel several times, but no one answered. They then canceled and rebooked the reservation. While this was happening, the front desk employee told us that we had been there "too long" and that we were "loitering." He then gave us 10 minutes to leave or else. We were absolutely appalled. We had a reservation in progress, were not causing any disturbance, and were simply sitting quietly waiting for confirmation during a dangerous storm. We were not loitering -- we were potential guests who had already paid for transportation to get there. Because of his behavior, we were forced to leave and walk across Route 1 in freezing rain, with traffic moving quickly and streetlights not working, just to find safety. We had no car and nowhere else nearby to go. We are a quiet, respectful family who stays in hotels often due to personal and medical reasons, and we have never been treated this way. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and basic customer service was shocking. This experience has completely turned us off from Best Western. One star is too generous for the way we were treated, and it is unbelievable that an employee is allowed to speak to guests like this.

I should've listened. After weeks of ignored emails, I finally got a wedding block quote priced higher than the standard online rate. I ended up booking rooms myself through Bonvoy at a lower rate and arranged a proper block at another hotel with no problem. Check-in was a disaster. Despite sending names and confirmations ahead of time, nothing was linked. On my wedding morning, my digital key didn't work, and staff claimed I wasn't on the reservation even though I'd booked all the rooms. I had to pull a guest from our group just so I could get into my own room. They also refused to let my videographer up, and my maid of honor had to leave her prep to escort him. The breakfast staff the next morning was clearly overwhelmed, with one server trying to run the whole restaurant on a holiday weekend.

This review reflects a week-long stay, ending today…read more Our stay started off as a five-star review bc of friendly front desk staff and we were really impressed with how they handled our HVAC concern. Our air conditioner stopped working consistently and the room was getting stuffy without at least a fan. To our surprise, they immediately sent someone out to look at it, despite being after hours. That person did the best he could but said he would have someone else look at it the following day. Sure enough, we got a call from "Mike the Maintenance Guy" and he checked out our unit. He explained they received a lot of complaints on these units and we gave him permission to replace it during the day, when we would be away. Done! We were super impressed with his can-do attitude. Now, why 3 Stars? While we were pleased with Mike, we were less than pleased with the housekeeping situation. When checking in on Monday evening I saw the housekeeping sign about "limited service' and asked the staff person what that actually meant. I assumed it meant you had to ask for housekeeping. No, he explained that housekeeping was only available on M W & F. No big deal, I thought. We are frequent travelers and we planned on improvising. We bought extra coffee K cups so we didn't run out. Plus, I preferred a stronger, darker roast than they offered anyway. Well, we were out all day Wednesday and returned late that evening to find our room was not serviced. No clean towels, overflowing baskets, no more coffee cups, unmade beds, etc. Needless to say we were very disappointed. We emptied our trash in the lobby and replaced our dirty towels for clean ones. I couldn't help but think this vaguely written sign is written this way for a reason -- to confuse customers and not accept responsibility. We went to bed upset about the oversight. As rewards members, we never experienced this level of service disruption before. After the incident, front desk staff observed closely and made sure we got housekeeping on Friday, as it appeared they were probably going to skip us again. This moved my now-two-star review to three-stars. We understand every industry is impacted by COVID now, and, if your hotel is back to fully charging for service, you need to do everything in your power to make sure you are recruiting and retaining staff to provide consistent service across the brand. That said, we will continue to stay with IHG, but honestly, not sure we would return to this location. This is a newer, clean hotel with spacious rooms. We stay at this brand frequently and the clean, stylish interior impressed us the most. The breakfast is is their standard with very little rotation. Self parking is easy and free. For heaven's sake, change the office chair in the rooms. The flat cushion provides no support and feels like it could tip over easily. This hotel is conventionally located to freeway, local shopping and not far from commuter rail.

Also the bathroom door AND window are busted, so there's no vent for the steam from the shower- good luck breathing for more than 2 minutes at a time. The TV bricked itself when we tried to adjust the angle because it counted as "touching the sensor" (which bricks their TVs for some reason, according to the sign?), and we were harassed in our car by someone who tried to claim you were only "allowed" to park in front of your room. They did not work for the hotel, but decided that since they'd been there longer and "everyone knows them", they could do that. I highly doubt anything would come of trying to report their harassment based on every other aspect of this place, since someone tried to force their way into the room without identifying themself, and it took three "who are you, what do you want, stop it"'s before they said "oh I'm from the front desk". A totally normal and healthy thing to experience when you're half naked. Totally fine. Wouldn't have even left this review if that didn't happen, by the way, because it's not their fault they can't afford to fix a lot of the stuff here or if their customers are gonna be rude. But it's absolutely on them if their staff is going to try and harass people in their rooms without identifying themselves instead of just, idk, saying what they want before trying to open a door they can hear someone on the other side of?
