Sorry housekeeping never came to clean room. Paid for 4 nights and only stayed 3 money wasn't refunded. Talked to their corporate office (choice hotels) they weren't any help either getting my refund. When I tried to check out the guy behind the desk was sleep and wouldn't wake up. Staffers staring at me like I'm stealing...guess cause I'm black and they Indian. I'll never stay there again and the money that's supposed to be refunded I hope you choke on it read more

We were told at booking they were putting us we had two rooms in a newly remodeled room. We'll know it wasn't. We got to room and the room had mold in it and we were checking bed and the be skirt was covered I. Mold. We have pictures. They moved us to two more room and then the toilet was sideways because the bathroom room do wouldn't close and when you flushed it was leaking. We called them they said sorry but we don't have any more rooms to move read more

Considering this is a 5 star, I am confused. I have been a Diamond Member for several years. I book here, I get here. I am given a room that is marginally clean, with a defective TV. I ask for the TV or the room to be changed, but no response. The third night, I am wakened by a hell's own racket next door, as a dog destroys the room while it's owner was out!! Nothing from the manager. I was here for 4 nights, I was promised room service after two. No service. I am bitterly disappointed, as I trust MOST of the recommendations on Choice! Stayed here because the reviews were good and it cheap for a quick sleep stop on trip. Only positive was guy at front was really nice. Other than that ..no...just no. If you have ANY standards... Don't stay here. Obviously the other people that reviews have no standards. This hotel has crackheads, incests inbred, and prostitute looking people. Rooms are gross.. or at least make you feel that way. Shower has zero pressure was literally dripping out water... And they hottest setting was Luke warm. Can't rate breakfast because I'm not staying in am for it... Don't want to even be in the same room with the people I saw checking in. Traveling alone.. didn't feel safe and was scared for my car all night. .. Do not stay here.. based on other reviews for nearby hotels... Just skip this town completely!!!! read more

As a corporate traveler for many many years, I was constantly in higher end hotels (Hilton, Wyndham, Marriott). Now several years after retiring, now that the honors points and program points are all gone... We find ourselves staying in more budget friendly sites. But wow, this little motel does a FANTASTIC job of being hospitable, clean, nice and extremely well kept. The on-site staff were extremely pleasant and clearly 100% engaged. You can tell these folks really take a lot of personal pride in running this business. I have stayed at many expensive hotels that were much less accommodating, not nearly as neat and clean, and by far less engaged via staff. For the price, this is a great deal. I've stayed here on five or six occasions and it's always clean. Yes, it's kind of basic, and yes, it's a MOtel, not a HOtel (doors open to the outside). Check in/out is always quick. So what's not to like? I'll stay here again. If you're headed to Talladega Gran Prix Raceway, this is your best hotel. It's 15 minutes from the track, and is close to Starbucks, Chic-Fil-A, and gas stations. read more

This is probably my favorite motel in Oxford by far. The staff is extremely helpful. I was there for a court case and I needed so document printed out. I'm not a computer savvy person so one of the staff held my hand through the entire process. In the morning I had realized I needed one more document printed the staff contacted my helper and she returned to work to help. I think there is nothing this staff wouldn't due to help out. I wish they had higher than a five-star to rate them. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Room very clean & nice. Came with mini fridge microwave, rain forest shower head, flat screen mounted on wall & the best floors (no carpet)! Staff is so friendly & helpful, especially John. I had an emergency where I needed his help & he did not hesitate to help me. I am so appreciative of him. Breakfast is just enough to get started. Wendy's & Walmart right across the way. I was traveling by myself & felt very safe. Really enjoyed my stay. read more

Clean- great location- friendly folks. At $59 a night ($130 for two nights after taxes) you can't go wrong. Big flat screen tv with 5 hbo stations- iron, full sized ironing board. Is right off I20 but still very quiet. Free wifi that does the job. Micro wave and mini fridge. No frills- but the name "EconoLodge" kind of says it all. With the exception of the hag next door who stood outside in the morning on the phone with a cigarette while her heathen children ran up and down the sidewalk, screaming and fighting, I have nothing to complain about my stay. I was traveling alone, the bed was comfortable, the tv offerings were plentiful, the room had everything I could ask for. I was happy with the extreme cleanliness of the room. Clean, convenient, and courteous, this little motel was all this and more when we stayed in Oct. of 2016. The manager on duty went above and beyond, demonstrating an act of kindness when he dirtied his hands to jump start our Jeep, suffering from a dead battery. While trying to check in the male front attendant was absolutely horrid, I honestly believe he wanted us to just go next door to avoid checking us in. Once I got to my room the electrical outlets did not work. Several walls were bulging along with a mold spot. I don't know how the reviews for this place got so greatly inflated stay away. We booked a room at the Northport Econo Lodge at the last minute for a TN-AL football game so we paid a premium for our room. Although the price was painful due to the last minute booking on a football weekend. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The facility has been recently updated. It was well maintained throughout. The owner was the operator and was friendly and available a couple time during our stay helping us with our TV once and encouraging us to try his coffee which he was proud of. There's even a breakfast area with free continental breakfast and fresh fruit. I would definitely stay here again. It's not a 5 star hotel but it's quite nice for a discount motel. read more
