Very nasty rooms to match the customer service. The pictures they show do not match this hotel. Do yourselves a favor and don't stay here.

This property is in serious need of an update! The outside and the lobby area are very deceiving!…read moreOnce you reach the room, you're guaranteed to be disappointed. Check in was flawless. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and checked us in in less than 5 minutes. She went above and beyond to make sure my family was as comfortable as possible....after a few mishaps! We had to change rooms a few times for several reasons. One room didn't have didn't have AC, the tv was not working in the other, and the last room was occupied by someone else and we barged in- *sigh*! The rooms ALL need a deep cleaning and updating as others have stated! The inspection in the elevator had expired but they didn't seem to worried about that. This was a one night stay and that's about all they're good for. There's several food options in the area as well as more hotel options too!!

The first impression was that the hotel was clean but needed some love. Older feel to the property. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Again clean and ready to give us a good night sleep. We kept hearing a grinding noise - prevalent in the bathroom. Sounded like something on the floor below us. This continued off and on all night. Not horrible but it was a sound all night. The bathroom fan ran 100% of the time. We could not turn it off. As long as the bathroom door was closed, you did not hear it. Bathroom was clean - bath products stocked - plenty of towels (seemed new - white fluffy heavy towels). The bathroom was older - needs an update. Some items are simple such as fixing scrapes on the wall - touching up paint? The shower curtain was too small for the shower. Water on the floor every shower. Would I stay here again? Yes! Just an older hotel that needs some love.

11/3/16 I checked in around 11pm. The rate on the sign was $55 a night. Not bad, I had no problem…read morechecking in, and as a single female traveler, this is often a fear. I was given room 204 and went upstairs and settled in. The 4 poster king sized bed was HUGE. It was 3.5' off the ground, and given that I'm 6' tall it could be a problem for someone shorter who doesn't have a step stool to get into the bed. The bed itself was comfortable and all would have been fine if... at 2:30 in the morning someone hadn't have tried to get into my room. For 10 minutes some yahoo kept trying his key in my lock. I got up and told him that he had the wrong room. "They told me it was room 204." Well they told him wrong, since I'd been in the room since 11 pm and bedded down for the night. He toddled away then, but 10 minutes later the phone rang, it was the night clerk telling me the "Man I traveled with was down there and couldn't get in." NO MA'AM, I am a single female traveler.. I have no men with me. Please check that.. there is Only ME on my room. i'll be honest, This both frightened me and made me angry. I couldn't go back to sleep. I was now hyped up on adrenaline. So I went down to find out what happened. No satisfactory answers were given, save that the man was drunk, no reason that she called my room was given. I mentioned this to the morning clerk and she stated that nothing was said to her about it. I will NOT return to this location at all.

Usually hotels want you to pay for the previous night when you arrive this early. Second, ALL rooms are $69. We are staying in a king room on the second floor. Room 217. There are no elevators...beware. Our room has a king bed, half size fridge, flat screen tv with HBO, a work desk (I appreciated that I have room to set up my laptop and get some work done), and a full bathroom with separate vanity room. It's also worth mentioning that there aren't any window units for air, it's a thermostat, and works wonderfully! Third, the breakfast buffet is between 6am and 9:30am. It's quite possibly the largest breakfast I've ever seen in a hotel and it's included in that $69! Omelets, eggs, sausage, gravy, all kinds of biscuits, breads, and muffins. There's also cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, milk, coffee, and juices. I'll be completely honest, the breakfast at this hotel was better than my dinner last night at the Golden Corral. Overall this place is great! Other features include an antique store, refreshment store, meeting rooms, pool, and exceptional customer service. We will always be a returning guest!

It was seriously like some nasty hotel in a movie it was so blatantly horrible. The lobby area smelled strongly of mothballs, but I figured that was just temporary...I'm not staying in the lobby. We went to our FIRST room and the room had an old musty odor. Trying to reduce the stagnate air I turned on the ancient A/C. It squealed so loudly it was unbearable. I tried to attach the video, but couldn't. We were given a SECOND room. Half of the lights were burnt out...which may have been to keep guests from noticing how stained and sickening the bedspreads were. I pulled the bedspread back and there was hair, long dark hair, in the sheets and the pillow cases were also stained. We tried a THIRD room and it was just as filthy as the others so we just left. Tina was very helpful and apologetic.

The air conditioner/heater appeared to be fairly new. I couldn't give five stars for a couple of reasons: 1) My room had an unpleasant odor that I couldn't identify, but it was not pleasant and it detracted from my stay. 2) Housekeeping could have been better. I expected that my bed would get new linens each day, but most days the staff simply made the bed without changing the sheets. If I could have given two and a half stars, I would have.
