At HN, I was able to find organic products, vegan substitutes, and herbal medicine. Coming from California, it is an eye opening experience to shop in Spain's grocery stores, especially Herbolario Navarro. The amount of ingredients and stabilizers are so minimal compared to American products. I would equate this store to Whole Foods for American shoppers.

This is a huge store, with a wide variety of health-food products. Their prices are a little high,…read morebut you can find stuff on sale that makes a quick visit worth the time. The on-site restaurant is a bit expensive considering the number of restaurants just outside of the door, and I wasn't impressed with the menu. On the other hand, having a quick snack and then going shopping has always appealed to me. The store variety is astounding, and there are lots of products here you can't find in other stores in the chain throughout the city. The variety alone means that I can make one trip here and get exactly what I need, even if it is for a slightly higher price.
