I have been a patient of Dr Mindy Ok for many years because of her expertise in many areas ! I…read morechanged dentists because the person I had been using did a terrible job when my front tooth chipped ! I immediately read about Dr Ok & she just bonded that tooth perfectly ! I also did zoom with her & made her & theHygienist KAVITA ! She has been the very best hygienist I have ever had! She is so thorough& has the latest technology in her room! I had never had a bad experience or pain with her taking X-rays of my teeth or scaling them after the instrument with the water! My teeth are "painted" with fluoride unlike many others who just have you gargle & spit out ! I really enjoy seeing Kavita for 4 cleanings a year every 3 months ! The Pediatric dentist is also very competent-Dr Erin Welful with adult problems also! Wendy B

My most recent visit with Dr. Ok was disappointing, especially compared to my earlier experiences…read more I went in last December to get a cap placed on my tooth, and unfortunately the service I received felt subpar. Not only did the appointment leave me feeling rushed, but my tooth actually hurt worse afterward than it did before the procedure. I was genuinely shocked, because I expected the issue to be resolved, not made more painful. At this point, I'm unsure about returning and would have appreciated more care, attention, and follow‑up regarding the discomfort I experienced. Then to make matters worst the practice double bill my insurance for the service this caused my benefits to go to zero dollars and I still had to pay out of pocket roughly 800.00 dollars. Will not be returning. `

I had a terrible experience here. On my first visit, I had a cleaning with Dr. K. I told her that…read moreI wanted bonding to fix a gap in my teeth, and she told me I could do bonding or veneers, and I told her that I wanted to do bonding. She told me to make an appointment with Dr. Butensky who does cosmetic procedures. The office manager booked me for an appointment for bonding with Dr. Butensky. The day before that appointment, I got an odd call from the office stating that Dr. Butensky wanted to "discuss my options" and that "there may not be time" to do the bonding. I told the receptionist I had already discussed veneers with Dr. K, and I didn't want to do it. On the morning of my appointment, I waited for over 40 minutes to see Dr. Butensky. He said I could do bonding or veneers. I reiterated that I wanted the bonding. He left the room and sent in an assistant who told me that because I chose bonding, Dr. Butensky could not do it and the dentist who would do it was out on maternity leave. I said that I had specifically made the appointment for bonding, and Dr. K and the office manager advised that Dr. Butensky was the one to do it. She sent in the office manager. The office manager said that Dr. Butensky decides the treatment plan, and he doesn't agree with doing bonding. This is something he did not express to me. She went back and forth and talked to Dr. Butensky presumably (he never reappeared), and eventually stated for the first time that Dr. Butensky did not think bonding would look good and that it would chip. I pointed out that if it is the dentist's discretion to do bonding or not, how does she know the dentist on maternity leave would do it? She told me she could have Dr. K do the bonding and that Dr. Butensky would never agree to bonding front teeth. So I received the following conflicting messages: Dr. Butensky will do the bonding, Dr. Butensky would never agree to do bonding on front teeth, it's my choice of whether to do bonding, there might not be time to do the bonding, the doctor on maternity leave could do the bonding, Dr. K doesn't do the bonding, Dr. K could do the bonding. What no one is talking about is the fact that bonding costs a few hundred dollars and veneers a few thousand dollars. Obviously this practice was just pushing the most expensive option, and when I didn't agree to the more expensive procedure I got a total run around. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism. Avoid this place at all costs!!

What an exceptional experience I had yesterday at Summit Dental Partners. Actually, it started…read more even before I arrived, when I called the office to make an appointment. The receptionist was professional, very welcoming and accommodating. When I arrived at the office I was first met in my car for a temp reading by Melissa, the dental assistant. I was whisked into the office, which is beautiful and state of the art. The hygiene precautions were excellent and put me immediately at ease. Melissa, very professionally took care of me immediately. I was then seen by Dr. Schwartz, whose calm, professional, yet very personable manner, reflected the entire environment of the office. Dr. Schwartz listened to my dental concerns, took her time, addressed the concerns, and treated them immediately and thoroughly. I was next treated by the hygienist, Christine, for my semi-annual cleaning and hygiene check. And that, too, was a very positive experience. To sum up my review, my visit to Summit Dental Partners fulfilled and even exceeded my expectations. I look forward to my next visit. Susan Joseph

REVIEW a YEAR in the making: A year ago, I went to SDP for a standard check-up, x-rays, and a…read morecleaning and was told I had several cavities and needed a crown - over a $1000 of work (beyond insurance). Over the next year, I decided to attend to my own dental care and did so conscientiously. Today, I went to a different, well established dentist, and received the same teeth cleaning, x-ray and check-up, and was told I needed ZERO fillings and there was no mention of the need for a crown. Interesting, right? SDP presents as skilled and caring, however, perhaps due to their overhead (massaging dental chairs and all), their diagnoses seem to edge towards self-serving. Buyer beware. Additionally, after a FULL YEAR, I have zero pain or sensitivity in any of the "problem areas" they had discovered. **The hygienist at SDP was excellent, as was the front desk staff, and, I do not doubt the skill of the dentists. Unfortunately, my perception of them is that they are more business oriented than "compassionate healer" oriented.
