Heyy its me i'm back i'm a 6th grader who graduated from this school 6 months ago and i thought i'd give it a review as a 7th grader sense i went here from 2nd-6th I have sections for specific grade and teacher reviews also this is coming from a straight A student who was straight As & Bs at this school anyways i'm gonna do a basic review on the school in general first so idk why but i always got MYSELF that's right MYSELF into trouble at that school i think it was bcs influence of others though bcs nowadays i make straight A's & haven't gotten in trouble once..like idk i loved the office workers they were really nice and the principal she was OKAY yk the school is definitely not the cleanest i heard from my friend the janitor literally sweeps all the dirtiness to the sides of the cafeteria then never picks it up and it looked like it so ‍ plus kids never throw stuff away eugh i feel like we didn't have enough school events to but i loved that we had dances but i will tell u the bleachers on the 4th-6th side are iconic they've been there for 6+ years but there still clean and standing there so cute i just love 'em another iconic thing is i met my first girlfriend there and wil forever cherish that school bcs of that yeah echos okay but i'll let u decide how "great" it is! 2ND GRADE!! This was really nice bcs i was teacher pet this year and i really loved my teacher if Miss Shelby is still there give her a raise bcs she was literally the best teacher and was my favorite until i got to 7th that means for 4 WHOLE YEARS so she was the bestt 3RD GRADE!! My teacher this year was Miss Grimes and she was really rude. I hate to say this about a teacher but i had a lot of male friends as a kid. You know what she said to my mom SMILING while i was THERE? that i was a flirt jokes on here though bcs i'm a lesbian now I just you don't know how upsetting that was and i just know that teacher really didn't like me for whatever reason 4TH GRADE!! I wasn't a fan of Miss Riseman but the sub teacher we had for 6 months was really nice I loved Miss Jordan so much 5TH GRADE!! This was online and i'll be honest i didn't really pay attention to anything that year bcs no one else did either like bffr 6TH GRADE!! I really didn't like this year because the students in my class were so horrible plus i looked so ugly with my bleached chin length hair like NO but teacher wise i had Miss Hartman and she was a bit intimidating but she was really cool and i love love love the way she teached her class but ong when we had to switch to Miss Berech I hated it bcs i got in trouble for everything i'd put my head down for a second or grab a pencil and she'd take 5 points away i never left her class with full points and that was my least favorite part of my dayy read more

Be aware of echo mountain intermediate the principal there is very unprofessional. My daughter used to go there she's been there since kindergarten and this past year she was volleyball captain and a kid was threatening her at the school for 2 weeks in a row I reported it to the principal she ignored the issue it escalated. Since the principal ignored the issue the little girl who kept threatening my daughter that she was going to not stop until she was dead and she admitted all this on a group video chat of six it caused the rest of the girls to be emotionally distressed one of the kids threatened to bring a gun to school I heard it and immediately tried to take action I try to report it to the school to give them a heads up and they ignored me they told me I was tripping paranoid and I didn't know what I was talking about that they were only in sixth grade and nothing like that would ever happen at that school. No consequence was given to the girl harassing my daughter therefore my daughter and a group of friends decided to rough House in the school bathroom just playing around they weren't fighting they weren't bringing home to nobody they were just simply play fighting and because of that the principal then decided to suspend all six kids for play fighting not even making any threats to nobody meanwhile the little girl making threats to multiple kids still remained in school never got suspended I then took a different approach involving police making a report a week later my daughter was transferred to a different School without my knowledge the principal's saying you need to sign we've already did the transfer. She now goes to a different School where nobody likes her she's away from all of her friends and it's caused her to be depressed and the school district doesn't do nothing about it Paradise valley schools don't even care about their children and none of our kids are safe going to school anymore. My heart goes out to the kids that still remain at that school because they got to go to school in fear instead of feeling safe all because the principal wants to ignore dangerous threats. read more

I called to report an absence for my son being sick and was immediately forwarded to an automatic voicemail service directing me to provide requested information to identify the student. I give this school a 0/10 customer service rating and find it ironic that they barred Google maps reviews if their school district. The school cafeteria provides pop tarts daily and cheap junk food. read more

Echo Mountain School - Elementary Schools Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This school is HORRIBLE! The principal doesn't care about the students at all. My daughter is a Principal list student ALL YEAR and takes medication before school. I keep in touch with her teachers so I can adjust it if needed but the 5th grade teacher Sarah Crafton made that really hard. Sarah ignored my email about my daughter being suicidal after being locked in the bathroom by a group of girls. Sarah then chose one of those girls to be student of the month. It's about who you know at this school not the kids mental health. Kids made a instagram page to bully other kids called Echo Mountain Little Miss and the principal said she doesn't want to hear about it since it's not going on at school. Theirs no type of assembly for the holidays or dress up days for the kids spirit week besides color days. It seems like everyone's there for a check and doesn't actually enjoy educating children. Please don't send your child here unless you truly dislike them. read more

So, they've lumped the "school" as both on this app... so I'll write my review on the intermediate side only. If you have the choice... run. My son attended the primary portion for all 4 years, and although not perfect... we were decently happy with the experience. However, once the child moves to the 4-6th area... everything goes downhill. First off, we struggled with teacher issues last year. His original teacher was 9 months pregnant at the start of the year. When I inquired as to what would happen when she went into labor she assured me that a single replacement was chosen for the first semester, and she would return in January. This didn't happen. My son had 5 different subs for the first 3 weeks after she left (3 weeks into the school year). None of the subs knew what they were doing. The grade book was never done properly, and this was the excuse I received from the principal as to why I never heard of homework or returned work in those 3 weeks. My sons first progress report showed he had a D-F average and I was furious. No one ever contacted me if he was struggling. We then dealt with the lunch lady making him throw his uneaten food (packed lunch) away. It costs me about $6 a day to pack my sons lunches (per our family diet). I was furious. Then, we found out his classmate had threatened the classroom with a pair of scissors, which we never heard about from the school because it was "compromising the child's rights to privacy". My husband and I witnessed this same girl being handcuffed outside the classroom, screaming profanities while the class door was open. My son was then moved to a new classroom and we thought it would get better. Nope. I repeatedly told this teacher that she had the wrong email, and she repeatedly emailed the wrong email address so I never got the emails. Then, we continued to deal with the no finished work being returned, no information on his progress, or any issues he was having. He had bullying issues multiple times that we went to the office about, and nothing was done. 1 child particularly was the bully. He was known for being in trouble and never being expelled. Finally at the end of the year, after months of physical and verbal bullying we told my son to handle it himself. To which he did. I was called into the principles office for my son fighting (he punched the kid back after being thrown to the ground and punched). The teacher swore up and down her student couldn't have done it, but yet the principle confirmed that this child was always in trouble. Let's just say, I yanked my kid fast! Nope. Run. The school is awful, the teacher (Ms. NOLF) obviously doesn't know how to handle a student who is a bully, and how to communicate with her parents. There is no meet the teacher night, so you're pretty much stuck. It's all just bad. read more
