This school is at the heart of the village and prides itself on being traditional with the right combination of 21st century modernism. Being that this school is a Church of England school it has close connections with the church. The school is in an idealistic location for many parents as there aren't too many main roads and the setting is tranquil and pretty. A lovely little school for people of the area or for parents wishing to move their children to a quieter location.

It is now Known as Newmarket College, and they have tied the school in with the new and improved leisure centre and the school has open access to most of the new fascilities. Its not a huge school, but it is big enough to accomadate its pupils comfortably. The school is split into 3 parts, the main building is where the majority of lessons take place, and there are seperate buildings for the technology depratments, and the drama halls. The school has lots of grounds, including the massive playing fileds at the back of the school. There is a small car park to the front, too. I attended this school for about a year and a half, and having attended a few this was by far my favourite school. The teachers were easy to relate to and lessons were well taught, and the fascilities at hand to students were fantastic.

Founded in 1209, this is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. Some of Cambridge's notable alumni include Charles Darwin, Rosalind Franklin, Stephen Hawking, Isaac Newton Bertrand Russel, and Alan Turing. A popular way to explore the university is through a punting tour along the River Cam. A punt is a flat-bottomed boat designed for shallow waters. Where you sit on the punt can matter. For example, sitting at the bow of the punt can make it difficult to hear your tour guide if they're operating from the stern. However, sitting at the bow provides for nice views of the scenery ahead of you. The city is walkable with many stores and restaurants in the area. Look for blue plaques because they explain the significance of the location before you. For example, one blue plaque on a pub mentions how James Watson and Francis Crick first announced the discovery of the structure of DNA. The plaque then mentions the significance of work from Rosalind Franklin, Maurice Wilkins, and other scientists. After walking around, we snacked at Heavenly Desserts. This is a franchise based in the United Kingdom that serves a variety of desserts in fanciful interiors.
