I'm so glad Long Island finally got a Wegmans. When they first opened I thought their prices were…read morereally high but then I notice the Hot Zone Prices was really good deals. When you walk into the store there is a sign of items and prices and they compare them to some of the other markets in the area which is always good to see. Another plus is that they are open till Midnight and it's close to home. A year later and I'm obsessed with this super market. It's very clean and the customer service is always amazing. My son loves coming here to watch the lobsters. The seafood department always comes out with a Wegmans hat to give him and let him touch a lobster. The deli department is always nice. I love the meats from the meat section and the butcher. I love the organic everything they have it's always fresh and reasonable. The Bakery department is my other favorite part of the store. I never tried any of their cooked food. Except the sushi station. No complaints there. I tried many of their store bands and so far so good, except the cheese. It doesn't melt for some reason. I never had any issues at any of the department. From ordering Groceries from the app to looking for coupons, the app is great at navigating it all. There are a few brands that Wegmans does not sell so sometimes I still have to branch out to another market. But for our main supermarket Wegmans is it.

Everything I tried was delicious, and I was blown away by how knowledgeable and helpful the staff were. They not only guided me during the scavenger hunt, but also educated me on the quality of the meats, the preservation process, and even explained the taste, texture, and best seasonings to pair with different cuts. The products themselves were so unique and exciting--things you don't find just anywhere, like ostrich, beef organs, tongue, and more. It was such a fun and eye-opening experience, and I left genuinely impressed. Can't wait to cook these new meats for the first time!

A trip to Whole Foods offers a familiar and reliable bounty: aisles of health-conscious products,…read morevibrant organic produce, and an impressive range of prepared foods like pizza, sushi, and a sprawling salad bar. However, the premium quality comes with an equally premium price tag, a reality that has persisted, and perhaps even intensified, since its acquisition by Amazon. For the savvy shopper, there are still ways to navigate the costs. Keen attention to pricing, coupled with strategic use of Amazon Prime discounts and in-store sales, can help balance the ledger. Ultimately, the store's unique draw lies in its exclusive selection; there are certain specialty items you simply won't find anywhere else, making it a necessary stop for certain needs. Our family has found a practical rhythm: we always begin our shopping at the Trader Joe's across the street. After surveying their selection and prices, we then visit Whole Foods for those few, special items we can't get elsewhere. This approach makes the added effort, and expense, feel worthwhile. Despite the undeniable cost, shopping at the Lake Grove location remains a valuable way to support and enrich a healthy lifestyle, especially for those living on Long Island's East End. It's a curated experience, one where careful planning can turn a luxury stop into a sustainable part of your routine.

It was partially cut by each family member and parts chewed and spit out and not sanitary. He said that Whole Foods policy and it didn't matter if it was chewed. There's no point of using the service you might as well pick the food out yourself not to mention some of the fruit especially the halos and other oranges are horrible and tasting bland. I came in for the advertised "Celebration Bouquet" for $6.99. When I asked an employee for help, she first told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Only after I mentioned the website did she bother to look it up -- and once she confirmed it existed, she informed me the store didn't carry it. Her helpful solution? That I drive around to other Stop & Shop locations and see if they might have it. No substitution, no effort, nothing. Then I tried to pick up the free 48 oz Blue Diamond Almond Milk. Also unavailable. This time I was told to "keep checking back," as if I have unlimited time to repeatedly visit the store hoping the advertised items eventually materialize. If Stop & Shop expects customers to spend their week traveling from store to store chasing down promotions, it would be great if that were mentioned somewhere. As it stands, the experience was disappointing, unhelpful, and frankly pretty frustrating. I filled out the survey at the bottom of my receipt & requested that someone contact me by email. The survey indicated I would receive a response within 7 business days. Today is 4/26/26, I am fairly certain we are beyond that timeframe---yet another failure on their part.

They offer terrific prices and a large inventory of items on their shelves. From name brands to their own marketed brand. I have to laugh at those complaining here with one and two star reviews. Over the years of shopping at this location we have never experienced anything like they described. The staff is fine and we have never encountered any disrespect. Even when lines are long like today they quickly opened up another register and it moved along fine. Register person was nice and friendly. The store was clean and organized. A few items we wanted were sold out but that was expected on a holiday weekend as we got here late, but we found other things instead. Nothing was moldy or outdated. Produce and meat dept were fine. Bakery area still had plenty to choose from. Is it a perfect supermarket? No, but it's overall much cheaper than most with more than enough to choose from, clean, spacious. No self checkout is the one downside so you just need to chill out and be a bit patient at times, no biggie.
