Not only was everything well organized, but he did everything in his power to ensure that we were comfortable. During the visitation services, he circulated and kept an eye on the family. If anyone was standing on their own, he would go up and talk to them to ensure they were doing ok. He did a great job to keep everything on schedule without being overbearing or bossy; he gave gentle suggestions and let us handle things as we became comfortable. They even delivered the flowers after the ceremony to the various homes. I am so grateful to have had Doug and his team to help us through this time.

The duck pond was well stocked with ducks BUT no Swans. Do miss the swans. Grounds are being kept up better. Roads are getting fixed. Memorial day weekend they had staff on hand to assist with finding plots and handing out flags and surveys. If it continues in this direction in a couple of years it will be a superior place again. When you visit a loved one, be sure to bring a wheelbarrow and your own lawn care items because the grounds have been in a state of disrepair for over a decade. If you have mobility issues, don't even bother trying to visit your loved ones and pay your respects because the potholes are so deep it is scary to get through them in even a car. Sadly, the only recourse is to file ADA violation complaints because other complaints are just given lip service with zero intent on fixing the many problems. This USED to be the most beautiful memorial park around. Now it is the butt of jokes and the source of endless frustration.

They are not punctual, they clean up during the service, which I find disrespectful to the family. They have even shown up at the wrong building. Poor communication with the pastor. No plant stands were provided for flowers. Very non-professional in a sensitive business. Many other things can be said and there are better funeral homes that don't charge that much more or even less money. You pay for what you get. This is all based off of several bad experiences not only from me but other area pastors. I wish I could say some positives but I can't really think of any except they do get the "job" done.

We picked Waterbury Funeral Home for my Mother's funeral and in the beginning it started out…read moregood.As time went on though things went very badly. The day of the funeral they had my Mom stuffed in a corner of the church with none of the flowers around her for everyone to observe. Then they had one chair by the casket for one person to sit, when there were 6 people in the immediate family. When they saw it was pure chaos then they decided to have us put some other chairs up by the casket. The funeral home was supposed to show a video of my Mom's life during the service. They didn't come early to make sure it worked and then told the family it was incompatible with the church software.They tried to blame it on the church, didn't ask for help and then made the family make the announcement. We go out to the Hertz and that's when they informed us there was no family car and no car for the pall bearers. They had no back up plan. They should have had someone designated to drive the family behind the Hertz and then someone for the pall bearers next. Someone in the family would have been glad to do it, but there my Dad stood behind the casket in the parking lot with no direction. When we got to the grave site Allison the person in charge of the funeral I was told by several people that she just pulled my Mom's casket very quickly out of the back of the car and if the pall bearers hadn't scrambled to grab hold of the casket, she probably would have ended up on the ground. I was not happy and I would not recommend Allison to anyone.
