Steve was able to accommodate us in everything we requested, such us deciding on new Hearth style last minute, or a darker beam than originally requested. The workmanship is second to non, extremely detailed and everything was explained in detail , making sure that we were happy throughout the journey. Nevertheless, the amazing factor at the end was that I walked into a almost dust free, clean room! During this service, I…read morerequested a certificate as proof of the work carried out but the gentelman did not have one on him and said that certificates are issued by the office. To summarise, after several months of ongoing communication I was informed that their policy was to issue certificates only if asked by the customer ON THE DAY. From an ethical standpoint, I believe that they should automatically offer such certificates without the client needing to request them. Many people may not be aware that, in the event of a fire, their insurance will be invalidated without such a certificate.Upon conducting further research, I discovered that chimney sweeping is not a regulated industry; however, any association of chimney sweeps in the UK (of which A&L Parry is not a member) considers the issuance of such certificates as a mandatory part of their conduct.
