In our haste, we ducked into the Fig Tree Restaurant as it began to rain on Saturday at the market…read more We passed it at first without giving it much thought since it sat mostly empty but when the water started coming down, it filled up. Either there were no employees available at the time we walked in (or perhaps they were suddenly overwhelmed by the crowd), but we wandered around for a while on our own until we found an empty table. Turns out as we were waiting for our drinks, the waitresses functioned as hostesses too; we were just overlooked. To our surprise, a waitress popped up a couple minutes later after we settled into our seats asking what our orders were. Um? I hadn't even had enough time to read through the second page of the menu! I'm not generally overly critical of service especially since I've worked as a waitress during my university days, however the coffees we ordered weren't note-worthy either. My mocha was accompanied with a fluffy marshmallow, but the marshmallow was either some kind of bubblegum or cotton candy flavor. Bubble gum + coffee + chocolate? Eugh! There are several shops set up inside the market that specialize in coffee with very friendly service although with not much shelter or seats; and there are several more stores in the area on Memorial Dr with seats. Both options offered drinks at a slightly lower price tag. We paid for our drinks without so much as a smile or "thank you" from our waitress.

What a big let down this place was, When I ask for the "Classic Burger" to eat in. I was told (by…read morethe grumpy middle aged women with dark hair) that there's a long waiting time. But its was a Monday and there were 3 other customers, it would of been different if it was a market day. Then she told me that she will give to me in a bag to take away and there's no battered fried chips. It was the worst burger ever, burnt and overcooked not to mention the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This lady was either just lazy or a racist don't bother going there... and I'm a local.

You cant get much better than this for a Noosa eatery. Open for breakfast/brunch/lunch 7 days…read more(opens earlier on weekends for the serious morning people!.. also closed on most public holidays) The menu and vibe is excellent..the staff busy, happy and very helpful! Very laid back and calm atmosphere for the diner..the peaceful Noosa River meanders and soothes the soul... utter bliss!!. If you can grab a balcony table overlooking the Noosa River.. go for it! Even though Im a Noosa local, I was introduced to this belived gem by a friend from Melbourne(thanx Dee!!) ..now Im a regular!! Breakfast is a bonanza for anyone with an appetite.. all the brekky menu items are under $20!!! light and luscious repasts, hearty, full and flavourful breakfasts for vegetarians (avocado and fresh tomato on hot toast) and non-vegies alike (brekky panini is a winner!).. my picks? The Ultimate brekky... you name it..its on the plate. .2 eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms and toast... you can also add passata beans (lightly spiced canellini beans cooked in a delish tomato and onion sauce... still hungry? pancakes? 3 egg omelette of the day (my fave is cheddar, bacon, tomato and chive with a side of hollandaise)Divine eggs benedict (smothered in fresh daily made hollandaise!! Absolute last meal on earth stuff!!) Corn and fetta fritters?? toasties? You want it they have it!!) And the drinks menu is just as good... The Italian hot chocolate is to die for!! Thick & unctious enough to eat with a spoon!! Rich & devilishly dark but not overtly sweet. Moreish coffes and cold drinks, fresh made juices.. delightful!! Lunch is a great selection, burgers, gourmet sandwiches, fries and truly excellent seafood... my pick? Pan fried barramundi fillet on a bed of warm sweet corn kernels, english spinach, spanish and green spring onion and julienned carrot salad with golden sautéed chat potatoes. Their lunch specials are excellent value in some cases an extra $6.00 or so will get you a nice glass of white... all lunch mains are also under $20...Their dessert menu is also dreamy cakes and slices.. too much to choose too little time to describe!!! Excellent value and excellent eats...gets my vote every time!!! 15 out of 10!!

The Menu is modern Australian featuring the very freshest of local vegetables and ingredients and the fish is particular is wonderful. There were three of us there for lunch on a beautiful day...The skies were blue, not too hot. The Noosa River was sparkling and we were spoiled for choice from a big menu offering. The Staff were very friendly and obliging re my food allergies and we had a perfect lunch. For those of you who are are Gluten Free, the Chef will accomodate you! Many thanks and hats off to Philip and his team!! I was delighted by the fact that all the Mains were served with enough vegetables or salads so you did not have to order side dishes. You could, but it was not necessary. And Yes, I am criticising here many Noosa restaurants who seem to think it is ok to charge big prices for a piece of protein sitting lonely on a plate with just a garnish of a 'green' herb, necessitating you having to order at least one to two 'sides' of green vegetable/potato or chips at an additional $8 to 10 a bowl!

Very disappointed by this place. We came here for a dinner, and by the looks of it, it was busy…read morewith many locals. We were seated on a small table by the door, by hey if the food is good I can overlook that. I ordered the seafood linguine and my husband had the dinner special which was 3 course for $29 he picked: the cheese bread, the chicken parm and a dessert. My linguine was just terrible: the pasta was over done, there was no flavor - like the usual garlic-butter-lemon that you would expect. There was none of that just bland mush pasta with seafood and some type of sauce. The chicken parm was a big fail as well - they had a big piece of bacon on top which was just not necessary, but the meal itself was very tasteless and just lacking. The service was just OK, nothing special and maybe a bit lacking but not terrible. All in all would not recommend.

It took at least 15 minutes before being noticed and then to order. Regardless of the chaos our breakfasts were quite fine. It took me about 10 minutes of waiting at the front counter to actually pay for our meals and no, I didn't leave a tip.
