I requested a Zoom interpreter for an hour and can't believe they charged two interpreters for a 4-hour billing period. I asked them, and they said, " For virtual requests, the interpreters have said that the pace and format make it too difficult for 1 interpreter to cover alone. Online tends to move much faster than in-person workshops. For that reason, it has become the standard in our field to schedule a team of 2 interpreters for a 1-hour webinar or Zoom workshop." In-person requests would be one interpreter, and that is a big rip-off when they don't have to do travel time. I fear that they are harming the deaf community to be greedy. read more

I had high hopes since they've been around a long time, but the experience was frustrating. I tried to book an interpreter for a medical appointment and didn't hear back for almost a week.
