Eat 2 Treat is one of the many stalls in the Arndale Market that caught our eye during our last visit. We were planning to make a curry that evening, so what's better than finding an authentic place to pick up some starters?
Service was quick - the woman was serving various people at once, so kudos to her. I wasn't convinced about the items other people were ordering (warm kebab wraps) as they were being done in the microwave, but each to their own. The other item you can buy here is tubs of warm sweetcorn, for those who fancy a healthy snack - these were huge in America during my time away, so I'm not surprised that they've found their way into our markets.
We walked away with a veggie samosa, a meat samosa and some vegetable pakora for £6. Warmed up in the oven for 10 minutes and we were unsure that we could go onto our main meal, we were stuffed! The vegetable pakora were delicious, bound in a spicy batter and perfect finger food. The meat samosa was my least favourite due to the density of the meat, but we still managed to put away the majority of it. The veggie samosa was delicious, filled with potato and peas and a fair amount of heat.
Here's hoping Eat 2 Treat stays around as I could go for some more of those pakoras right now. read more
