And they were clear about what they were going to do, and they did it. I will definitely use them again. It was no hassle. And are always easy to reach. I highly recommend using them.

She seems very biased and I feel like I'm being discriminated. What's on the website and what I'm being told are two completely different things. Also was told I most likely won't get a loan before my documents were even looked at. Also she said to me "just because you have nice car that's worth a lot doesn't mean we are going to give you any money. She also brought up the fact that I'm not a home owner, which confused me cause in the criteria on the website it doesn't say anything about needing to be one. I sent in my documents and she told me she'd look at them tomorrow cause she doesn't have time but I most likely won't be getting a loan. I don't understand how that's determined without looking at the necessary documents that need to be looked at. I know someone who has the same car as me they did not get hassled and was offered more money than was offered to me without her telling them they need a tracker on the car which is what I was told would have to happen if I want certain amounts of funds which is really confusing because on their website it's being promoted that no gps is installed. Overall I feel discouraged and looked down upon when all I was looking for was a loan to catch up on bills because I had covid and could not work for a bit. Not a good experience at all so far.

The tellers and some advisors are on the ground floor. The senior advisors and senior management are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There are two 24h ATMs outside. The service is very courteous,  especially the lady at the reception desk. Although this branch is open on a Sat, there is no teller service on a Sat. There is free WiFi. The bank is wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-151

This is really a review directed at CIBC corporate, but since reviews apparently needed to be…read morelocalized, this CIBC address will have to serve as proxy. Got a letter in the mail that a CD had matured a few weeks prior and had already renewed for another 13 months at 3.63% APY. This was the first notification I had gotten, and therefore I had missed the standard 10 days to decide if I wanted to redirect that money. Obviously, I would have. At a minimum, I could've bought a 1-year CD at CIBC for 4.0% APY, but I also could have gotten 4%+ at Vanguard or Raisin. The difference in interest would've been ~$760. A critic might say I should have been proactive in tracking the CD's maturation date. However, anybody who buys CD's regularly tend to expect proper notifications. Anything else would not be competent, and CIBC is a very big company. Also, I knew CIBC's 1-year rate was 4.0%, which I was fine with. I had forgotten my CD was technically 13 months. Why would anyone want their CD renewed 13 months at 3.63% when they could get 12 months for 4.00%? I complain immediately. CIBC refuses to do anything. I respond with a long email detailing all the things that I was prepared to do, i.e. permanently exile all my money from CIBC (3.5x the amount of the CD) as well as review on Trustpilot, Yelp, Smart Customer. CIBC then responds with a message that was, word for word, the exact same nondescript message that I had just responded to. CIBC's response was written in such a generic fashion that it reeked of some AI slop response. If it was written by a human, they've become a soulless bureaucrat. If CIBC thinks I will not act on my threats because they have some sort of leverage with their interest rates or they think I will be too lazy, they are in for a rude surprise. I am above the FDIC insurance limits, and I can get a better rate at Raisin or Vanguard. Also, I always follow up on my reviews. There are other reasons to avoid CIBC. Their messaging system is buggy. Seems like anytime you use any special character, even a common one, or any of a gazillion reserved words, the system will spit out some ridiculous, vague Java Script error like {Result #0002} with inadequate diagnostics. Also, look at the other reviews. I am hardly the only one who couldn't get an ounce of useful help from a human being on an important situation.

TD Canada Trust Branch - Branch

    TD Canada Trust Branch

Tip: This branch has no drive-thru ATM…read more When I was an undergraduate student at York University, I was able to apply for a York University TD Visa card. The credit card's limit was low (it was either $300 or $500 initially), but it was my first credit card and I felt like I was an adult! To make a payment on my credit card, I had to visit a TD branch to pay with the help of a teller. It was before telephone banking came into the picture. After class, I would walk over to the TD branch that used to be on the southeast corner of Keele Street and Steeles Avenue West. This branch's old location shuttered years ago. It seems to have been under construction for that length of time ever since. I don't have a clue what's going on. This TD Canada Trust branch opened diagonally across the intersection, on the northwest corner. It looks impressive when you approach it. This branch houses three service divisions in one: - TD Canada Trust - TD Commercial Banking - TD Wealth If you are doing regular banking, this branch does not have a drive-thru. There is plenty of parking around the building and a ramp for those who require a ramp to enter. There are two Green Machine ATMs in the branch, in the lobby area. It's spacious. I do not have any TD products anymore. The relationship between York University and TD was dissolved. I ended up cancelling my credit card, but it helped me establish credit and strengthen my credit history. I pass by this branch often when I am taking backroads home after work. I see both the old and new branches, which makes me both nostalgic and optimistic, respectively. (128)
