But I felt that the staff was always kind, friendly, and understanding. Volunteers who came to clean the common areas were pleasant and polite. When I needed help with trivial things like keeping the door open or for toiletries supplies, the staff and volunteers are resourceful and always ready to help. Kitchen and common areas were clean. Other patrons were also kind and respectful. I enjoyed my stay here even if other things outside of these doors were stressful. Thank you for your help and support.

To me that's a lot of money, I'm only 19 and not working due to my newborn being at the hospital and my job was in Tracy I lost my job due to him being at the hospital. They didn't have no hot water or heater and they didn't fix it until 2 weeks later. They didn't charge us for 2 weeks since there wasn't not heat or hot water. They fixed everybody heaters and hot water, but ours. Our hot water was working but not the heater and it's raining so much and it's so cold in there, they asked for money and we told them why do we have to pay if the heater doesn't work and to go check it out for themselves it's like a ac in there and they said ok and then they called the cops on us when they said they were gonna send somebody to look at the heater and then the front office said oh everybody heaters work I need money now and we paid them and then 2 minutes later they came to the door with the police again and said here take ur money back the staff doesn't want u guys here too many complaints but we've never interacted with the staff or anybody , most of the time we be at the hospital with our son. We asked what they said and they said oh we don't know and they kicked us out like some dogs in the rain. So unprofessional please don't go here it's not worth $50 a day . Bugs all over the kitchen , front desk people always sleeping and not doing there job . Every room has twin beds and a small tv that doesnt work . No hot water or heater. Very rude. Very unprofessional. Don't waste ur money here.

This is my first Yelp review, though I'm very familiar with the review process. I felt compelled to…read moretake a moment to express my appreciation for Ed, the manager at Sacramento Guest Services, as well as the wonderful cleaning lady--I believe her name is Norma. I noticed some negative reviews from people who clearly don't understand what this accommodation offers. As a frequent traveler, both domestically and internationally, I pass through Sacramento monthly and always stay here--unless they're fully booked (which, understandably, happens often). When that's the case, I'm forced to settle for a hotel, and let me tell you--nothing compares to Sacramento Guest Services. These are fully furnished apartments, not just a basic hotel room. Here's what you get: A full-size kitchen with a microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, and dining area that's always fully set Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a washer & dryer (with detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets provided--free of charge!) A friendly and accommodating cleaning service Amenities galore, including free Wi-Fi, a phone with no extra charges, and a fully stocked linen closet with extra towels and sheets Competitive pricing--it's actually cheaper than the nearest comparable option, Extended Stay America, which only offers a small studio-style room at a higher nightly rate If you're looking for a place to party, this isn't it. It's a quiet, comfortable, and well-managed accommodation. That said, if you respect the fact that people live here permanently, there's a balance--you can have guests over without issue. And if you really want to go out, downtown Sacramento is just a $7 Uber ride away, where nightlife is abundant. As someone who has stayed in everything from budget motels to five-star hotels across the South Pacific, Dubai, Japan, and Thailand, I can confidently say that Sacramento Guest Services remains one of my most convenient and comfortable choices. It's truly my home away from home. I've been staying here at least once a month for nearly two years and have never once had an issue--not a credit card dispute, not a noise complaint, nothing. The management is fair, professional, and committed to providing a great experience. For those reading negative reviews, trust someone who knows this place well. I don't personally know Ed or anyone who works here beyond casual greetings, so this is an unbiased review from a loyal customer. Five stars, without question. If anything, I almost regret leaving this review because Sacramento Guest Services feels like one of Sacramento's best-kept secrets.

We took an in-city vacation from our home in early August 2011. Well, it felt like a vacation, but…read morewe were evicted from our home while our house was under construction. I needed a place for my two kids, hubby and I to stay for a week. I was not looking forward to a hotel because it was pricey and we'd be sharing a room...taking on food expenses, etc. THEN, I discovered an apartment complex that I used to live that had short-term rentals. This place is great. It's a gated, upscale apartment community two exits from downtown Sacramento. Our unit (#106) was a ground level two bedroom, two bath, and offered our family access to the beautiful pool, feeding the ducks in the "fake lakes" and access to their gym. (We never made it intot the gym, but we LOVED the pool and hot tubs!) It's a true apartment with Granite countertops throughout, a full, stacked washer and dryer, living room with fireplace, two flat screen tvs (one in the LR, one in the master br, both w/ cable) and great closet space. There's a private patio as well. The unit is carpeted in an industrial carpet. The bathrooms in basic linoleum. CH&A and free WiFiworked great. The kitchen was a standard apartment kitchen with a full-size fridge, full-size oven, built-in microwave, coffee maker, rice maker, plus all requisite utensils, plates, cups, and mugs. During the week we had a daily maid that vacuumed, did dishes and made beds. IMPRESSIVE! The development is very quiet. You're assigned a gate pass and parking spot. I got a $99/night rate. I thought it was too good to be true and checked it out in person. We LOVED it and will recommend it to family and friends visiting Sacramento. Our only recommendations to owners are to: ) add a few extra sets of dishes and utensils. For a family of four we really ran through items. 2) We never figured out how to use the gate. Fortunately we squeaked in behind other residents. 3) The sheets are rather threadbare. They could stand to upgrade to make the experience entirely perfect. 4) Patio furniture would make this over the top! This would be a great short-term spot for folks relocating too!

You go up the steam boat which is very cool to me and the view of the water and the Ziggurat building in the back. If you sit outside on the deck you can see all this and the sunset behind the famous yellow Sacramento bridge. On this day we even saw sea lions lounging and one swimming around. It was January so it's cold and breezy, so make sure you dress accordingly . Our waitress was funny but it took a long time to get service. Inside the little bar area was full and so we had to go outside. We found out no actual meal until 5pm only apps and drinks. The drinks honestly were ok as well as the appetizers so that made us decide to go elsewhere for dinner. Its a touristy spot with its charm just not great food or drinks. Service is slow. They are also a hotel but we only had drinks. You gotta walk and park in nearby garages as the area is always super busy and very little parking on the street.

Another reviewer said you can tell the employees are treated well, and I can see it too. I was impressed by how many staff were helping make the ample breakfast buffet operate so smoothly. Everyone guest got what they needed and more. There are two juice and coffee stations, two egg and bacon stations, omelette station with multiple chefs working SO hard (we tipped!). We got a room with a great view! 802...yes, by the elevator but didn't notice extra noise. I would say 510 looked the most private and would recommend if you're ok with accessible (I thought that we had this room first so went to check it out). We never opted in to housekeeping but got towels and an extra blanket when we needed them. Staff easily directed me to a water filling station under the lobby stairs. The pool was small, but never too crowded...a bit too cold for my baby unfortunately but my older kid loved it. The hot tub was pleasant. Yes, it's more of a kids area on holidays and weekends (not sure about work week). That was great for us. The included happy hour was also great! The night we visited they had a complimentary specialty margarita and a list of complimentary wines and beers and a ton of snacks! Chips and salsa, pretzels, house made pita chips and hummus. Removing one star because our room was a bit stuffy and vaguely smelled like whatever the prior guest heated in the microwave but we got used to it quickly. I'm super sensitive to smells and hardly noticed after a bit. Also the bright lights on the outside of the 8th floor windows are BRIGHT and hard to get the living room area dark due to the hall lights (kids slept there). We survived. Thanks for helping us enjoy a semi stressful holiday!

The atrium was fun for the kids to see their friends and the breakfast was wonderful! The hardest part for me was waking up to a pretty serious water leak above my bed dripping consistently on the pillow next to me. I immediately called the front desk and the person I spoke with didn't seem concerned at all and said the engineer wasn't in until 7am. My daughter was sleeping soundly, but having a steady flow of water dripping on my bed meant I was up at 4:45am with a third full day of education ahead of me. Literally nothing was done to improve the situation and I just hope and pray the leak was fixed before they put anyone else in the room. It would have been nice to offer SOMETHING to make things right. Don't stay in room 420 or at least ask if the water leak has been fixed!
