(As a gay student, some homophobia and transphobia coming from certain teachers, not severe but very accepting other than that.) The PTSO is very involved and has a load of programs and activities. One down side is the car pool line. It's huge!!!! You may have made it to the school on time but the wait to actually drop your kid off at the door will have them late. I'm glad the school recognizes this and is kinda lax with tardies. The children are surrounded by different cultures, ethnicities, races etc. My children have gone here since 1st grade. My son has moved onto the 6th grade so lil sister is still here. The ladies in the front office are very nice and helpful. Beware. If you shouldn't be there or look outta place... They will be on your head & I love it. PARKING can b a bit tricky at peak times. Overflow DURING school can be done in the bus parking lot. The office is in the entrance. Very clean office. Hallways. Cafeteria. I visit my lil lady often (for lunch or classroom visit..... Unannounced) and always see custodians wiping and sweeping. When school is out, it will Always be a pick up line onto Monroe Rd. a few teachers will be out to assist. When you're Almost there they will ask you the child's name Walkie Talkie to another teacher in which will get your child up and ready for pick up!! An off duty officer will be out to hold traffic for cars comming in & out!! They are/has been CMS School of Excellence!! TTFN

Our youngest just entered kindergarten after two wonderful years in the preschool program. The curriculum is more advanced than our experience at CMS, and our kids are encouraged to challenge themselves while being fully supported. They actually enjoy going to school, which says a lot. When our son needed help with reading, he received in-school and after-school tutoring at no cost. Teachers are communicative, with weekly check-ins and extra updates. Every teacher we've had has gone above and beyond. The admin team is engaged and present at drop off and pick up daily. BCCA goes beyond academics with events that build confidence, character, and community. We're so grateful to be part of this diverse, supportive school. Highly recommend.
