I am a sophomore here and so far it has been great! The campus is small so you can literally wake up 10 minutes before a class and get there in time. The main dining hall isn't too good, but the student center food court is great. Most upperclassmen dorms have kitchens so you might not even need a dining plan. Class sizes are generally small, 40 being my largest and 12 being my smallest. All the professors I've had so far have made an effort to know us, and are great at teaching their subjects. The majority of the buildings are new, and the grounds are amazing. There are many ways to get involved around campus, which helps with meeting new people and building friendships. The weekends are usually quiet since a lot of students go home. CAB provides a lot of events so you'll never be bored here. Definitely recommended! read more

This school is the school that will prepare you for the rest of your life. To whomever suggests otherwise may not have taken advantage of the unlimited resources ECSU has to offer. The best part about Eastern is it's diversity, both culturally and academically. Eastern will adjust to your needs and challenge you become a better citizen. The endless clubs, events, activities, programs, and people that Eastern offers makes it possible for the wide diversity of the student population to find their best fit and improve in what appeals most to them. Eastern knows that they are no Harvard or Yale, DUH. So if there is a case in which a student is dissatisfied they will do all they can in order to accommodate. For example, the library is not only an enormous building filled with valuable information but it is extended to all other Connecticut public universities. The school works accordingly on a single library database that can ship and provide you a book that is not available in the shelves. Eastern is the perfect school to challenge yourself as a person, as a scholar, and as an individual as long as you take part in their amenities. This school builds your character and improves all students who go through this academic establishment. read more

This school is horrible, no one know what they are doing their advisors and student service centers are a joke, the librarians unhelpful, i get more help from my local town librarian and find better sources with him. Don't go here if you wish to get your degree on time without a hassle read more

Financial aid doesn't talk to you and apparently you have a aid advisor which you never talk to. Continuing education is horrible. Security from a student won't let you pass the desk. They treat you suspicious. Register and bursar also bad. They make you walk to aid to register and bursar because they don't have answers to your questions. It's better just to get one of those degree papers and fill it out yourself. Professor don't care for you and don't even bother if you show or not. Some target students in front of the class then play victim if called on it. You won't get out on time. Career services is a joke they just ridicule your resume and you. Career fair is a joke.
