November 22, 2014…read more Locals and folks driving by on HWY 395 need to stop and check this spot out. If you're like me you've been driving by for months and you've been wondering what is actually going on in there. Heck, the location has been a local coffee shop, and it's also been a flower shop more recently, so what is this year's offering in this space. It's art, it's local, and it's staffed by the artists. They're not paying anybody to staff the store, and so when you walk in you're going to meet one of the people that has created the work in the store. I really enjoyed it. For me, it was like talking to the wine maker about the wine he was making. Today I got to talk to Nancy Raven, and she was very easy to talk to, proud of the group of artists that were showing their work, and proud of her own work. As I walked in Nancy was sweeping the floor, and the shop was clean, organized and easy to walk through, not cluttered and dangerous. There is pottery in the store, mixed media, photographic work, wood work, and color pencil drawings. There is a lot of items that focus on the western experience, and so you'll see cowboys, horses, rusted cars, and wooden bowls. How are the prices? I thought they were very reasonable, and there was a wide range of price points. There were some consignment items, but I didn't look at them and can't comment on them. To conclude, this is a great spot to shop local, and well worth the stop.

Michael provided not only an top quality product but also fantastic, personable service as well. I…read moreneeded to have some prints done of some of my photographs as family gifts. When I swung by Michael immediately gave me his entire attention despite being quite busy with numerous other projects. Together we made adjustments to my photos in his well equipped work space. A little over an hour later I had 4 fantastic prints in my hands and couldn't be happier with the quality. The price point was just right, and I look forward to doing more business with Michael later down the road.

This was my first time doing a paint and sip. I decided to check out Davinci and drinks with a…read morefriend on a whim. First off they had a fantastic deal going....2 for 1! The atmosphere was great. Very fun and relaxing. The drink menu had a little bit of everything. The instructors are very patient and helpful. By the end of the class it was like one great party. Im definitely going back again and want to try the ceramics class.

If you're at the Candy Dance statue, look on the left side of that building and go all the way to the back. If you end up at the Genoa Community Church, you've go too far. The Genoa Gallery features local and regional Photographers, Painters, etc. One cool example is an overhead picture (taken by Drone) of a past Candy Dance scene, while doing a good job of capturing the layout of Downtown Genoa. There's more as evidenced by my weekend visits here and having a some subsequent conversations about what bit of local art might fit well in our Genoa home. That of course can be a long iterative process, with the Genoa Gallery being a good place to start.
