We were fortunate and it was just our family for the time slot that we had reserved. We had…read morereserved three jet skis (two single riders and one double). In addition to the standard waivers you have to read and sign, there is another safety sheet you have to read and sign down on the dock. Once it's time to go, they load you up on. jet ski and then go over all the safety rules, how to operate the jet ski, etc. They really emphasize the safety aspects and you don't want to crash one of these things, as they are very expensive to repair. Once you go through all of this, they help push your jet ski off the floating platform, you hit the start button, and you slowly make your way out to the bay in a single file line following the instructor. Once out there, there are buoys that mark the area (basically a large rectangle) that you can ride in. Everyone has to ride in a single direction (counter clockwise for us). Because it was just the three of us, they did say we can go into the middle of the rectangle and do what we wanted. These things can go up to 54mph, but I only got it up to 39mph before I felt like I was going to lose control of it. One or more instructors stay out there with you the entire time, ensuring you are being safe and helping out if needed. After about 45 minutes out there, you head back to the dock, again, in a single file line. The hardest part is parking your jet ski back onto the platform but someone is on the dock to assist, but we saw people in the previous group take 2-3 tries to finally park it. All in all we had a great time and our instructor was very friendly and helpful. It's to recommended to wear hats and if you have glasses, they recommend having a strap on them. You can leave your car keys at the front desk. There is a tip jar down on the dock, or you can leave a tip at the front desk as well. Would definitely do this again the next time we are down at the shore!

Like previous visits, the staff was great. Easy check in. Easy instructions on how to use the ski. Clean and sanitary life vests. Clean and sanitary port o potties. Decent ski's (fast and reliable) A couple negatives - They really did crack down a lot on just how far you can go on the ski's. They also added a lot more staff out there with you (That's good from a safety stand point but they keep you contained to a specific area and enforce rules haha) Previous visits we were able to ride from bridge to bridge ... It felt alot more open and free. This time around it was 1/4 the riding area and basically a large circle. Bummer, but what can ya do ? Safety is in these days. Btw my review from 5 years ago mentions the price as $85 for an hour with a passenger... this year was $118 ! Paying a lot more for a lesser experience. (inflations a bitch) Negatives aside, I still really enjoyed the experience and I look forward to stopping here again soon. It was a great time.

Check in was super easy and they gave our driver a 10 minute tutorial on how to operate the boat. Even though our driver has a boating license, they will issue you a temporary license and give you all you need to know to be safe out on the water! I was especially impressed because due to an incident with another group, we started our rental 15 minutes late, and they let us keep the boat for 15 min past our reservation to make up for time lost! For a 6 hour rental (1:30-7:30 PM), the cost was about $507. So split between 7 people, it only cost about $72. So worth it for 6 hours of free exploration time! They told us about a popular sand bar on the map that we checked out first and it was boat city! So many people out enjoying the redneck yacht club--so fun! After, we docked at Fish Tales for lunch. Then we had about 2 hours left, so we went swimming bayside (before getting stung by jellyfish...) and then rounded out the day docking at Seacrets. The pontoons comfortably fit 7 people, and would easily fit 1-3 more! We also had a giant Yeti cooler that fit with plenty of room to spare on the floor. They also come with pretty loud built-in speakers that connect to the radio and Bluetooth so you can DJ from a phone! You can also drop the back ladder for easy access if you decide to go swimming. Overall, the pontoon rental was a highlight of our weekend and we would love to do it again next time! Thanks Bayside Boat Rentals for an awesome first experience.

Our group of jet skiiers included everyone from parent/child combos to adult couples and even expert jet skiiers. My wife and young daughter went on the banana boat experience since my daughter isn't old enough for jet skiing. They had a blast getting a ton of ocean spray in their face while being towed behind a motor boat (make sure to wear goggles). My son and I shared a jet ski and I was really impressed. They are certainly powerful (we got up to 60 km/hour), but have some impressive built-in safety features. There is an auto-break that applies whenever you approach the jet skiing boundaries or get too close to another jet ski or other boat. As a novice, I really appreciated that feature. The staff was uniformly friendly. The location is nice, located next to a public beach that we relaxed in afterwards, as well as a couple of bars (note you can't drink before jet skiing). There isn't a ton of parking, so factor that in as needed.
