I called up pretty late at night, but they still answered their phone and let me reserve a spot -- a rarity in an area where I've had trouble if I'm trying to book a room or campsite much later than 9pm. Many places just ignore their phones. They had nice grassy lawns to set up tents on, with picnic tables, and you can drive your car right in. Good shower facilities and bathrooms. I'd run over a dead deer that was lying in the highest the night before, and as the sun came up, the deer guts started to bake, producing a pretty unpleasant smell. The hosts had pretty good humor about it, and let me borrow some supplies to clean up... And even let me leave some smelly, torn pieces of deer-gut-infused mudflaps in their trash! Then after I cleaned up, they kindly pointed me in the direction of a breakfast place in town. While it doesn't have anything special that'd make it a destination in and of itself, I would definitely recommend for an overnight stop on a road trip.

And the digital cable TV system provides crystal clear picture on a huge number of basic and extended basic channels. If you need a place to stop for the night while traveling I-94, these amenities might make you choose Big Sky.

We're taking our chances, we're doing a Road Trip, and we'll never know how long it will take us to get there, no do we know where we'll be hour by hour, and all. We're seniors, we want to take our time! 2. Heidi was able to get us in, the minute I called her. 3. We were given a choice of rooms, and I'm glad I picked the right room, it was the perfect size for a couple married so long! Our room happens to be, in the drawing, seems to be the biggest room in the house. 4. The room was very well decorated, Indian theme, since we're in the Sitting Bull Room. 5. The shower was wonderful. Except, hubby has to come in & adjust the nozzle since it's way too high for a 5'2" height to reach. 6. The towels were soft, smell good & absorbent & clean. So were the sheets, they smell wonderful. 7. The bed was very comfortable, even though they were full size, we slept well. 8. The breakfast was wonderful! Starting out with excellent variety of fruits, blueberry cobbler, omelet, bacon & potatoes. It was a wonderful breakfast, and Heidi was a great host! We had problems with the Wi-fi at first, but they were able to resolve the problem quickly. We noticed the room was dusty, and mentioned that to Heidi, and she said the A/C had just been installed and there have been heavy winds in the area and they hadn't had time to dust the room yet. I'd go back! Heck, I'd move here, if my next door neighbor is Heidi!

There was a refrigerator and microwave, which some fancy places don't offer. One bed was too firm, but the other one was fine. We happened upon the Sundowner and we were able to get a room. It was exactly what we needed, when we needed it. Today I received a small package from the Sundowner. Whilst packing up and getting ready to hit the road again I had missed my sleep mask! The owners sent my mask to me. If that's not customer service, I don't know what is. We booked just an hour before arriving and were given a quiet room that was very clean. Everyone here is helpful and friendly. We were impressed to see students working as housekeepers for a summer job. The breakfast has personalized choices and was delicious. Bring some cash with you to tip the person making your breakfast and to leave in the envelope for the housekeepers.

This establishment from the outside looks like the typical roadside place. The rooms are very common in size and layout to anything else built 30+ years ago. The difference is that the service is friendly, very professional and are actual hospitality professional. The lobby is well furnished and nicely decorated. The furniture is actually comfortable to use. There is a little office center in the lobby that has a computer and printer that is set up so everyone isn't walking behind you. The pool area is clean and looks nice. There is no work out room but you can check out a key to a 24hr fitness place for free. That is something I've never heard of before. The room was very clean and the bedding actually felt good on the two queens in our room. The beds themselves were comfortable. The room had a large tv and all the bath supplies you need. The shower head actually put out a good flow and all its functions worked well. The room is for sleeping and it fits that job very well. The room and hotel are also quiet. The breakfast provided is actually good and has a large selection of foods including a hots. I would definitely stay here again without any question.

(The one that is Miles City Hotel Inn & Suites, and they charge a daily pet fee). This hotel has a big parking lot which can accommodate cars, trucks with trailers, and vehicles pulling RV's. It's also well lit at night. The staff are very friendly and customer service focused. (Always nice) They can offer recommendations for restaurants, shopping, etc. Breakfast was superb! They do offer a buffet however; you are served by an employee. They have a good variety of options with generous portions. Coffee, juice, and water are self service. They also have a great selection of coffee creamers and sugar. We loved the big pool and hot tub. My husband especially enjoyed the hot tub. He has back issues and used the hot tub at night so he would be relaxed before going to bed. We would stay here again & again, but can't because of their no-pet policy. (The other times when we stayed was because we didn't have our dog traveling with us).
