We were lucky to get our son enrolled at Starbright South 9 months before Kindergarten was starting…read moreand we had nothing but the best experience with this preschool. Jen, the owner, has always been wonderfully upbeat and communicative. You can tell she has a passion for preschool aged kids and excelling their education while also providing a fun and clean atmosphere. The preschool always felt very well organized and sanitary. We loved all the teachers - Marques, Jen, Hannah, Kara, Liz....everyone seems to want to be there and help your kiddo through the process. It was a very friendly space and we never felt we couldn't communicate a thought or concern or even just share a joke about how our kid was bouncing off the walls that day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this preschool to any of my friends or colleagues. Shortly after my son graduated and had his first day of kindergarten, both Jen and Marques reached out to me to find out how he'd done in the transition. They also encouraged a pop in visit down the road. You can tell they really are invested in the children there.

In the past he tried attending other…read moreschools but problems with the education always crept up: either too low/simple level of education, or the classroom teacher had difficulties managing the class, or the coursework failed to keep my son engaged. All of these were fixed when we finally arrived here - it is by far the best education we've seen in the area and with the kindest teachers he has encountered. You should definitely check out Faith Lutheran School if you want your child to experience excellent instruction in a caring and loving environment!

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction class was phenomenal. The content, instructors, and support…read morecreated an opportunity to make significant changes in how I approach the stressors in my life. The class requires commitment and work outside of class, and I didn't manage to do all of the home practice perfectly, but I still came away from the series feeling like it was a transformative experience. I feel like I learned skills and gained new ways of seeing life events and stress that have the potential to change my life for the better--and all from just working to train my mind to stay in the moment. I can't say enough good things about it.

I don't have enough fingers on both hands to count the number of times I had my ID checked, palm scanned, etc. My glasses were even scanned! I can't speak for the building as a whole, but the cafeteria? What a gem! If you're looking for a…read morecafe to grab some lunch, look no further! It's cheap, tasty, and full of ever changing options. I recently completed a training at the BP Energy Center (see review) and they gave us meal cards with 15 dollars a day to the cafeteria. And let me tell you, I never spent my full 15 a day. I could get soup, sandwich, salad, and a drink, all for under 15. The SETUP: Grilled Sandwich Station: Here one will find burger options with choice of sweet potato or regular fries. There was a different special here in addition to the chicken tenders, veggie burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, and beyond. The Potato Bar Section: Every day I was there I could choose between a Yukon gold or sweet potato. The toppings WERE ON POINT. So many options like butter, sugar, cheese (shredded and nacho), broccoli, bacon, scallions, and the list goes on. The Question Mark Section (as I decided to name it): A section that changes every day. I saw it contain tasty looking pizzas (at least 8 varieties), Chinese food, and yummy gyros. I'll be making my back to this place for lunch if I'm in Anchorage during the day. Easy choice.
