DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON TRAINING FROM THIS COMPANY! I purchased the pre-licensing…read morecourse, and the quality was a grave disappointment. Throughout the video lessons, Mr. Royse takes great care to talk bout himself but shares little of value in regard to real estate. For chapters 1-7, which cover general real estate practice, it was relatively easy to utilize Real Estate Prep Agent on YouTube and cross reference topics until I had a thorough understanding of the subjects covered. However, chapter 8 is the only chapter on Alaska Real Estate Law. The law represents a separate exam that only includes only 40 questions, thereby making a thorough understanding of the concepts therein paramount. After watching Mr. Royse's 20 hour and 40 hour class lectures over chapter 8, I learned little more than he likes to conduct training in Hawaii so that he can write off his trips while drinking. That's all fun and games, but it doesn't provide much in the way of understanding the Alaska Real Estate Commission's statutes and regulations. Since I had no way to cross reference the law covered in chapter 8 as I had with the previous chapter's contents, I relied heavily on the six practice tests provided in the curriculum to help me interpret and apply the law. After continuously feeling very confused and then failing my first law exam ($100 down the drain), I spent an entire eight hour Sunday trying to compare the chapter 8 tests to nail down my confusion. Well... I found NINE questions with incorrect and conflicting answers on the answer keys... and these are only the ones I found with my novice knowledge. It is no wonder I was so confused trying to first interpret the law one way and then shortly thereafter reteaching myself the same concept again with another "correct" but incorrect answer. When I brought this issue to Royse and Associates, they were extremely dismissive and acted like the defect was my issue and that I was the only person who has ever had a problem with their reputable company. Well, when I finally got them to go through the test questions I had identified, they verified that they were indeed INCORRECT... in fact, one of the questions didn't even have the correct answer listed on the printable test I was using to study. What a crock! That meant I was studying nine concepts that I now knew of with conflicting application. In a chapter that doesn't cover much, that is a big deal. Royse and Associates dismissed that though. Royse himself wrote a snooty response about how there are literally 2,400 questions that could have been on the law portion of that exam, and that nine typos in his practice tests are not a big deal. I disagree. Nine incorrect questions (again... that I know of) over one, small chapter represent nine concepts misapplied. He also didn't seem concerned about combing back through his material in its entirety to identify other incorrectly provided test answers. As a result, I trashed all of his material as none of it could be trusted as accurate, and I went online to read the law (the version he included in his manual was not even the most recent version) and study it alone. Surprisingly, I passed my exam the very first time utilizing this approach. So... not only was the training provided by Royse and Associates not very helpful in preparing me to take my pre-licensing exam, it was absolutely detrimental to passing the Alaska Law portion of that exam. Therefore, I would highly recommend looking for a training provider with a demonstrated commitment to excellence and one that stands by their "product." Unfortunately, Mr. Royse seems concerned only with preserving his own veneer of perceived professional acumen and very dismissive of his complete incompetence and inaccurate curriculum. I certainly won't be giving him or his team anymore of my hard earned money!

It's cheap, tasty, and full of ever changing options. I recently completed a training at the BP Energy Center (see review) and they gave us meal cards with 15 dollars a day to the cafeteria. And let me tell you, I never spent my full 15 a day. I could get soup, sandwich, salad, and a drink, all for under 15. The SETUP: Grilled Sandwich Station: Here one will find burger options with choice of sweet potato or regular fries. There was a different special here in addition to the chicken tenders, veggie burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, and beyond. The Potato Bar Section: Every day I was there I could choose between a Yukon gold or sweet potato. The toppings WERE ON POINT. So many options like butter, sugar, cheese (shredded and nacho), broccoli, bacon, scallions, and the list goes on. The Question Mark Section (as I decided to name it): A section that changes every day. I saw it contain tasty looking pizzas (at least 8 varieties), Chinese food, and yummy gyros. I'll be making my back to this place for lunch if I'm in Anchorage during the day. Easy choice.

We got a message saying the night we booked did not look so good so we pushed it to the next night. The weather was better for seeing and we had a great time. You let them know what hotel you are at and they will tell you want time that they are picking you up. They take you to two locations to see the aurora and teach you how to setup your camera or phone. This is very helpful as we never used the night functions on the camera or phone before and to get the best shots you need to have the correct settings. They provide a tripod if you do not have one. They also take a group shot of your party if you want so you have professional photos with your group with the aurora in the background. They also provide some snacks and hot drinks. They had the van running while we took photos for those who wanted to go warm up as the temperature was 23 degrees. Definitely worth it!!
