My Cayman needed a clutch and I knew Easton's was the best place for major service. Bill always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and what that entails, so you have a good idea of what to expect. On top of that, his pricing is fair and reasonable, considering the product, and I always feel like I got my money's worth. Besides his Porsche expertise, Bill works on Ferrari's, like this rare Testarossa that was at his shop when I picked up my car. If that owner can trust him, so can I! read more

What a wonderful auto repair experience. It is really hard to find a shop that can repair an old car and do it with class. Bill was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely reasonable. He and his crew helped me with an old Porsche that has frustrated me for quite some time. Now I can get back to enjoying my classic car. If/when something else needs professional help, I know who to call. read more

Bill Eason is the Best of the Best when it comes to Porsche diagnostics. My First Diagnostic Experience with Bill.. What took multiple trips with no answer at another Porsche Shop, took Bill 5 minutes or less on the phone! Bill asked me if the car had ever had its top down during a rain event! Bingo, He then knew how to proceed. After he diagnosed my 1986 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet, I quickly brought my car to his shop and he himself removed the problem item, then he sent it the the rebuild shop in Florida, then he reinstalled the rebuilt item and I was good to go! My Most recent Diagnostic Experience with Biill.. I was told I would be looking at a $15,000.00 top side engine rebuild on the same above 1986, because I most likely had broken stud(s), causing oil leakage. Well, I brought my '86 into Bills shop and again Bill performed the necessary discovery work to determine that the studs were not broken. I then agreed for him to tighten the studs to hopefully eliminate the oil leakage, even though there was a risk to break a stud or studs. I have not driven the car since then, so i will report soonest re any oil leakage. Thank You Bill Wesley Lowell Renzas Go with Bill, if he can fit you into his schedule. Sincerely read more

Bill is super knowledgeable and friendly. He squeezed me in and did a great job fixing the short throw shifter on my 964 for a fair price. Highly recommend Bill and Eason Auto Works. read more

I was initially introduced to Bill through Fantasy Junction for a PPI on a classic Porsche I was looking to buy. He was in my corner on day one and was willing to inspect the car thoroughly, while navigating me through all the highs and lows of negotiating with a broker. Ultimately, I walked away from purchasing the car, but Bill was there to give me advice on these air-cooled Porsches whenever I had questions. This IS the guy you want to bring your Porsche to up in Northern California, and I'll drive 7+ hours to have him rebuild my 911 engine when it needs a "rebirth". Great to find someone who is TOP in their field! read more

Bill is the person i would go to when comes to my car and he's got good crew,. good shop.

Air-cooled Porsche specialists are a dyeing breed and finding one is no simple task but if you've discovered Bill at Eason Auto works you need go no further. Bill knows and understands air-cooled Porsches like the back of his hand. Schedule your next service or repair at Eason Auto Works. You'll be glad you did. read more

Bill has worked on my car for 10+ years and he has always been a straightforward, transparent guy who will tell you what you need and what you don't. I've gone to a few other places with my car and the things they have missed and mishandled almost made me sell my car because I felt like I couldn't find any one in the area who knew what they were doing. That was until I met Bill and he has kept my car running smoothly ever since. And he's such a nice and funny person who knows A LOT about cars. I could chitchat with him for hours. Did you know he rescues bunnies? I mean, if that doesn't tell you all you need to know about this guy then nothing will. As someone mentioned before, he's not the cheapest, but he IS the best. If you want cheap auto repairs, get a Honda. If you have an air cooled 3.2 liter flat 6 then go to Bill. read more

Eason Auto Works is the place to go if you need anything automotive repaired. Bill Eason can fix anything! Their specialty is Porsche but they work on most makes and models of other manufacturers. And sometimes even motorcycles. I have spent thousands of dollars here just buying things from Bill. My car will be spending a lot of time at his shop this year. I have seen them consistently go above and beyond the normal service you'd get from any other Auto Shop. Bill is a friend of mine and I've spent a fair amount of time at his shop. Don't let the neighborhood scare ya....or the dog. The dog just likes to play. The homeless neighbors stay away. 10 stars for the customer service 10 stars for the knowledge and skillzzzzz 3 stars for the location read more

It seems as it's unanimous across the board! Bill is AWESOME! So my truck needed some work...okay..lots of work, new tires, brakes, rotors...the shhbang, Bill was able to do it all in a ridiculously fast amount of time! He thoroughly explains the work he is doing to your vehicle, shops around for prices for parts and charges a more-than-reasonable amount for labor. What more could you want in a mechanic? He's honest, efficient, and affordable!?!?! Yeah, so the neighborhood is sketchy...you're not going there for the neighborhood, you're going to see Bill for the awesome work he does and the stellar prices he does them at....and to boot, you get to play with his sweet doggie. Keep up the great work Bill! read more

I read the reviews and reached out for a PPI and work on two different cars I have and am local to the shop - I left two messages with the service and answered extensive questions regarding my cars and never received a call back. Thinking this must be an anomaly I sent an email and was told it would be 6 months to accept a new customer. So I guess my issue is why have a website saying you offer the services, have an answering service and have an email and then just blow off new customers? read more

BIll and his team are amazing. I just bought a 1969 911 Targa from out of state and he helped me with the acquisition and subsequent work. He is incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy and practical. Couldn't be happier read more

You will not find someone who loves Porsche's more, knows them any better or who you will want to praise until the cows come home, like Bill & his Eason crew!!! They are amazing, detailed, knowledgable, HONEST and so friendly!! I live in SoCal and left my dads 1974 914 that I inherited with Eason for a complete rebuild & they were so great at sharing updates, communicating options & yes, coming up with solutions for those little things that pop up on a build like this. Such a pleasure - if Yelp had 10 stars, I'd still give them 11!! read more

What a slimebag, that Bill Eason. I would never tell anyone to give this man buisness. He gave me my porsche back with a coke bottle zip tied to the oil overflow. Really? Did he learn that on dead tour? Not professional, Not clean, Not cool. read more

Eason is great, I called and eventually reached him, told him my honker wasn't working, (trying to honk at someone who road his bike nearly into me) the dealership tried to jack me $700 for this, he ask me if I tried the fuze box first, I said not yet and asked him if he could squeeze me into his biz schedule, he said sure, I drive over there in 15 mins, I learned more about my car from him than the actual dealership (wow!) and then I go into my fuze box and noticed that the fuze was missing, he put the missing fuze in and wah-la my honker is working again! he only charge me $20- for the fuze part. I will definitely go back to him the next time there is a problem with my car and would recommend him to any and all my friends who own porsche"s! read more

It's 2013 now, and If you still own and maintain an air-cooled 911, I can only assume you care about your Porsche the way only an enthusiast would. I'm probably safe assuming you've had issues with clogged SAI ports? Leaking steering racks? Not being able to find a decent independent Porsche shop that won't end up overfilling your motor oil during a simple oil change because they OBVIOUSLY aren't familiar with the procedure? If you're still reading this, then I'm assuming you too are an air-cooled 911 owner/lover and you know what I'm talking about here. Which is why you owe it to your 911 to pay Bill and his crew a visit. I have found Bill to be very friendly, honest, and extremely helpful because he's so knowledgeable. He has gone out of his way to help me get my car back into shape, and now my 993 drives beautifully. He understands the nuances of air-cooled 911 maintenance and that really helps the headaches that can come with unique cars such as ours. I really wish I had found Bill years ago. The first conversation Bill and I had went something like this: Me: "How much is this all gonna cost me?" Bill: "Well, hard to tell without first looking at the car, but I can tell you right now that I'm probably not the cheapest, nor am I the most expensive, but I will get the job done right. If you're just looking for the cheapest shop, I'm not your guy." Me: "Done deal." I didn't even ask about the price again until the work was done. And guess what? It was about 35% cheaper than I was reasonably prepared to pay. If you're still on the fence, just stop by and have a chat with him. I'm sure he'll win you over. If not, his dog Ratchet will. read more

Exactly-it is as good as it gets because Bill will never tell you anything but the truth about your car--including if he is not the right person to fix it. But most of the time he will find that person for you. I am on car number 3 with Bill. read more

I can't say enough good things about Bill. It is hard to find a good mechanic who doesn't jerk you around - even harder as a woman! Bill is straight-up and just a chill guy. His partner, Nate, is a Toyota god and between the two of them they keep my little Corolla running like a champ. The dog is just a muffin, if a little stinky, so don't be intimidated by his look. The area is sketchy but Bill is on good terms with most of the folks around and they tend to leave his place alone. I give Bill's info out to *anyone* I know who is looking for a good mechanic! He isn't cheap but you get what you pay for, you know? And since I trust him, I am more than willing to pay his prices. Besides, it is for stuff that needs to be done so I don't end up as a caller on Car Talk. read more

Bill, you have done it again! Thanks for the great work, accurate estimate of time and cost and my VW drives like a dream now. Thanks again, i will see you next time she needs some TLC read more

Bill, Alex, Ratchet, and the entire staff have taken amazing care of my Porsches. My loved 914 and 911s are in the best hands. Bill has been working on my cars for the past 3 years and I feel extremely lucky to have found a shop with such integrity. Bill listens to my wants and properly guides me through ensuring I make the right decisions with my cars. If you cherish your Porsche as I do, EASON AUTOWORKS is the only shop to work with. Thank you Bill Eason. read more

I needed to get my 2002 BMW to reset readiness codes and pass smog. They were very helpful with not only replacing the parts, but also explaining the complicated BMW process needed to complete testing. I have known Bill since he was pulling parts at EASY (European Auto Salvage Yard) when Al was still there, too! Must have been in the Early 80s. He then opened his own repair shop. Since the legendary "Red" McClintock died, Bill has taken care of all my Porsches in the decades since--repairs, all sorts of upgrades ( I remember one Recaro seat adapter kit we struggled mightily with...), and parting them out when they were beyond hope! You CANNOT go wrong with him. Everyone I have referred to him has said the same damn thing. If it's not under warranty--TAKE IT TO BILL! read more

Absolutely horrible and frustrating experience. Owner becomes very rude and a know it all once he is in possession of your car without actually being knowledgeable. Will never go there again. Wish I had read the bad reviews out there before letting him mess with my car. Even after months have passed by, I find more and more things this guy messed up on my car where he wasn't supposed to touch it. Crazy that this guy charges top money while actually putting your car in a worse state than it was when you dropped it off. read more

Nothing but good things to say about this gentleman. Knows his stuff..is very honest...very reasonable...a rarity amongst mechanics IMHO!

Bill has taken the best care of my 68 912 Targa for the past 20 years. He helped me with my first 68 912 coupe before that. Now I bring in all of our cars from Mercedes to Mini to Bill. You can trust him and his crew. read more

Were it not for the fact that I recently bought a brand new VW with a warranty, I would be going to Bill for everything. Period. And as soon as the warranty is up, I'll be knocking on Bill's door, knowing that he'll take care of me, my car, my life......but I digress. There's no downside to Bill's service; he's speedy, thorough, more than reasonably priced, and he plays driver-to/from-BART if you need it. He took care of three of my cars before this latest, and in spite of the fact that none were his particular favorites to work on, he did, and didn't give me crap about my bad choice of cars. He'll take on most anything, and if it's something he can't do, he won't bluff his way through it. Ok, and then there's his love-bug shop dog -- any negative impressions you have about pits go right out the window when you meet him. Excellent guard for the shop! Bill is a professional, with charm and compassion to boot! read more

Can't say enough good things about Bill Eason. I see other comments here about him not being cheap - his rates may not be the lowest but when I needed work done on a Toyota 4Runner, he knew where to get serviceable used parts, and took the time to recycle parts where applicable to keep costs down for me. I went to him when I lived in Oakland, and the only reason I don't go to him first anymore is because I don't live close enough. I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

I love love love Bill. He really knows his cars, and I've learned a lot about mine from him. I trust him completely and whatever he recommends, I do. As for the person who had the Boxster blow up on him/her, go online and see how many other people have trouble with these cars, or ask other mechanics. I know lots of people who have had similar problems with theirs. read more

I've been taking my Nissan to Bill for over a decade. He is friendly, knowledgeable, fair, honest and has the highest degree of integrity. If it doesn't need fixing, he doesn't fix it! If it does, he does an outstanding job. I was told by the Nissan dealership that I needed new brakes at 20,000 miles. I took the car to Bill and he laughed. I now have 107,000 miles on my car and still don't need new brakes! He is the honest mechanic that everyone looks for and can't find - and he's right here! He can fix anything. I recommend him to everyone looking for a great mechanic who is honest. read more

Arrived at the door with a beat-up 924S and found a fellow motorcycle road racer who was honest as the day is long. As important as that is, Bill Eason also knows his Porsches. The combination of the two is what we all wish to find. When I finally drove the 924s into the ground, literally, he sold me his 100,000 mile '84 Carrera coupe. 8 years and 65,000 of 50% foot the floor miles later it has proved to be the best, most reliable car I have ever owned. I wonder why that is? Could it be because 'the Man' knows how to pick a car or because 'the Man' knows how to keep them running beautifully. Methinks both. Only problem I've ever had was messing up the gearbox auto-crossing. Complete tear down and rebuild in house. Flawless! He has my business for life and has become a friend into the bargain. I am not a rich man and without him I would never have been able to afford to run and maintain such a wonderful car. As for Ratchet, what a guy! :-) read more
