I worked with Easier Accounting for over 6 years to manage my business taxes, bookkeeping and personal tax filings. Then out of the blue last August they sent me an email saying due to inflation that my new monthly retainer will need to be adjusted. The new rate they wanted to charge me was literally an 800% increase, EIGHT times what i was paying for years!! They had the audacity to tell me the new rate would change the following month which was in a week so they left me no time to find a new accounting firm. When I tried to get them to at-least finish what I paid for the year they became contentious and tried to charge me for what was already paid. I don't know what the hell happened to them but I would stay far away from these people. Very untrustworthy and shady company. read more

Easier accounting is a disaster. There is nothing easy about this company. It should be called Screw You All Accounting. I was charged an huge amount of money to set up my S-Corp which was extremely slow and ineffective communication never answered my calls. I only had Easier Accounting complete my taxes for one tax year I am STILL receiving ongoing letters from the IRS regarding errors from the one year of service. In fact they didn't even file my taxes electronically and I discovered the error and had to force to back and refile. More tax penalties. My new tax firm is reviewing all their files which cost more money. Stay clear away from Easier Accounting unless you like being screwed over. read more

I complained about the attitude but all I got from management and sales team was the runaround. I am not one to write a negative review. Previously, I had written a favorably review for Easier Accounting after it was requested by the EA associate whom I was working with. My previous favorable review could not have been more inaccurate. Everything about this tax prep service company is BAD - was charged an exorbitant amount of money in 'Set Up Fees', incorrectly set up my S-Corp as a C-Corp (this is a HUGE problem as you can imagine), extremely slow and ineffective communication (always via email and never discussed via phone), extremely slow tax processing and only responded after multiple calls into company to discuss. Even though Easier Accounting oversaw my taxes for one tax year I am STILL receiving ongoing letters from the IRS regarding errors from the one year of service. My new tax accounting firm with CPAs are reviewing all EA's 'work'. I cannot say enough to warn potential business owners about how bad this firm is. Kale, Bryan, Wyatt, and the rest of the team have been very helpful throughout my time here. They are always ready to help, and when you call them with a simple question, if you leave a voicemail they will call you back in a timely manner. No matter the question they treat each question as important as any other questions. On top of it all Wyatt set me up with Mrs. Paula to help me write my business plan and profit & loss projections, and WOW what an amazing person and amazing job she did. I have been utterly disappointed by the service and the communication. First, I caught mistakes on my tax return, and the preparer would not correct because he insisted he was correct. Finally, once I made an appointment with the preparer's manager the mistake was corrected. The manager told me he would personally review my return as well and then text me within a day. Never happened. It generally seems to take over a day for me to get any response and the responses usually do not even address my question(s) and are short on liners lacking any context. Easier Accounting is a professional business striving for perfection in their day to day operations. My dealings with the company and its owners has been nothing but superb. Not only are the owners willing to get on the phone and talk with you once but they will follow up with you to make sure you have a clear idea of what their business is all about. I am a growing carpentry business that has been in business for two years part time and full time for three months. My paper management of my expenses and bills is creating a disaster in my filing cabinet so I decided to open a Xero account. I hired Easier Accounting for a consultation fee to help me get things rolling. Sean allowed me to record our session while screen sharing and guiding me through on a phone call. Things went great and I am looking forward to the software making my life easier. The only reason I did not give a full five stars is because of some missing information. I was told by Easier Accounting that the Xero fee is $8/month. This is true, but it is $8 for a very basic account and my needs are greater than that. I am now paying $30/month for the "growing" account that my business needs. Quickbooks is also $30/month but I did not consider Quickbooks due to my original $8/month price I thought I would be paying for Xero. I wish I had all of the information I needed to make an informed decision based on my needs. These guys are sales experts so I can't blame them, they sold me a product that they stand behind and offer support on. I am still very happy, I just wish they had been more forthcoming about Xero's price points. read more

My books weren't a mess but I only did them when I had the time and often in time for quarterlies. Besides being behind, I wasn't sure if I was doing it correctly until I learned from a mistake. EA functionally automates all of my bookkeeping for me for one low monthly fee and it's like having an accountant or bookkeeper on staff at a fraction of the cost. The service allows me to focus on growing my business and enables me to scale without worrying about whether I'm also doing the books correctly.
