Came here to see the Easby Abbey - which is well worth a drive and a visit. We knew parking is very limited, but tried our luck.
But it was completely packed. Cars parked roadside as well, absolutely no room for any other car. And another waiting in the carpark to get lucky. We wanted to take turns to go visit the Abbey then. But gave it another few minutes. And indeed...after 15-20 minutes two cars left at the same time. Lucky for us and the other car that was waiting.
The spaces here are big enough, but best to park in backwards, so going out will be easier, since the carpark is on the smaller side and there's not much space for maneuvers.
There's an honesty box for the parking fee. And it's on the lower side, so honesty is really appreciated. read more
