massage part is good, but this is supposed to be a metaphysical store and it sells dollar tree items marked way up. Owner is not pagan and knows very little about the pagan aspects of the items she sells. Better off going to Richmond for your metaphysical needs where the staff knows what they are talking about. read more

Earth Elements used to be my favorite store. There were fun classes and events, high quality products at very reasonable prices, and the owners were fantastic people! Now Earth Elements has a new owner and I'm sad to say that it isn't what it used to be. The prices have skyrocketed and, frankly, some of the inventory I have seen at local dollar stores. The shop doesn't seem to keep regular hours (example: not open at 2 in the afternoon, but randomly open at 2 in the morning) and I have heard rumors about illicit activities. This store has a really bad rep amongst the Pagan community. I suggest going to Richmond for your metaphysical needs. read more

The owner, Khai, is a very kindhearted and giving person and it shows it everything she does at this little shop. I had the best massage of my entire life and I am not exaggerating-someone who knows instinctively what your muscles need and how to relieve pain and discomfort. She pours her heart into it and when you're done you feel like the weight of the world is lifted off of your shoulders. I also take the yoga class with Michelle, who is a great teacher, patient and encouraging. I am glad they will continue the classes, building skills as they progress. I was a little hesitant to go into the shop the first time, but was welcomed warmly. Also, Khai makes and sells amazing tea blends-highly recommend giving them a try! read more

I live in the area so I pass by the shop quite often. I notice there is often a sign that says "Be back at (time)" When you return at that time, the doors are locked and the place is dark and remains that way for the rest of the day. I have also been to the "Discussion Circles" on Fridays a time or two. Although the topics are thought provoking, one woman (I think her name was Carrie and worked at the store) monolpolized much of the conversation. She claims to be a pagan author, but I have never heard of her. Her behavior made it hard to concentrate on the discussion. Other people seemed uncomfortable by her actions as well. They had a Zombie Ball last year and I attended with my wife. Sadly, it seemed very "clique-ish" and we left after only 30 minutes. The prices are a little higher than other area stores. The only plus side to this store that I can see is they have a wonderful variety of classes that they offer. Their merchendise is bare bones but of somewhat resonable quality. I would not choose to use this store again due to the items I usually need are not availible at prices that I need. I would not attend the circles again either. This woman Carrie was quite rude to a young woman who came in with her child on the first Friday I attened. She went as far as mocking this woman (who looked very embarassed and seemed to know her) long after she left. I would not like to associate with people like this. If you are considering using this store for your magickal needs, I suggest you go elsewhere. Howl at the Moon in Richmond is not that far from this store and the lady there will treat you nicely and give you advice if you need it. read more
