The staff have always been helpful and offered exchanges to my kids when they receive duplicate gifts or something that they do not like There is no lift to the 2nd floor, so if you have a buggy with a baby, you could miss out. Games workshop the shop that sell citadel minatures in many different forms…read more Used to be based in the city arcade which meant it was small pokey and dark, and always always cramped. But now in a new location, set in cathedral lanes its at least 4 times as big. The staff are very helpful and know everything there is to know about all aspects of the game and how to make/paint/modify the models. If your a beginner or expert alike they run game days/nights to allow people to familiarise themsleves with the game, staff on hand to help out if needed! Good fun for anyone intrested in it. They also have a large selection of models int he shop to buy, all clearly seperated into the different races/worlds etc so you know where to go to buy certain models/paints/vehicles etc. Looks like its one of the 2 shops worth going into cathedral lanes for.

I have bought things from Toys R Us with their online service three times…read more The first time one of the items which was a remote controlled boad did not work, but I managed to open it and repair with a soldering iron. Fine for me but I think less technical people would have had a problem The second time the item came they were fine. The third the item not work and returning them was a joke. They basically are a model for when an old school retail company goes online and does not understand software like the modern ecommerce firms do. I order loads of stuff online and none of the other firms have been so useless with returns. You have to email, it takes 12 hours to get a response, there is no online interface with a button to organise returning items like with proper ecommerce companies. so have to email, giving them two working days notice. first time courier did not come, so had to contact them. Then the second time they actually turned up. Then 2 weeks after them taking back the package, the refund was not on my card. Each time I had to contact them, explain things and it was a couple of emails, all in all taking up about 1.5 hours of my time! Each time I had to notice or nothing would happen, they never emailed me to confirm anything, so I had to check. They were polite by email, otherwise it would have been a much worse experience. They do have some good toys that are not available elsewhere, but due to how hard returns have been for me, if they are available elsewhere I would buy them from those other places.
