Always good food. Coneys are very good. Loved the Lime and Blue Moon Sherbet twist last summer. Had to visit daily for that one.

My husband poured sprite into his cherry slushee to improve the flavor. The flurry/blizzard (maybe that's what is called a freezy?) was delicious!! It definitely was worth the hassle of the visit but WARNING: CROSS CONTAMINATION. I ordered an Oreo one and had bits of Reese's and later on had bits of Snickers. Now, I personally found it amazing and an extra special treat to have the bonus flavors, buuuuuut that's just a big ol' lawsuit waiting to happen if I had an allergy. Employees were friendly but I found it odd how they would take an order at the window but have to ring it up elsewhere. I'm not saying move the cash register... but what happened to the ability to do basic math? The signage displayed in the window was possibly inaccurate, or I didn't know if where to look for correct prices, but adding two numbers together shouldn't be too difficult for the 3 employees standing around talking. I'm not sure why they must insist on "medium, large, giant" instead of "small, medium, large", but nonetheless the signage indicated a freezy starts at $2.50. I with they had a smaller option than "medium" for young kids. There's a sign indicating a $5 minimum when using a card. This is understandable and pretty standard for small shops, so I ordered two slushies. The employee left the window and came back and told me it was $4something. That's great it was cheaper than expected but no idea where she got that price? And as previously stated, it's concerning how they couldn't do basic math and tell me I'd need to order a third item. (Maybe I didn't order a freezy? I ordered slushies. I'm not sure what the difference is. But the signs indicated slushie flavors, and the price sheet didn't list slushies. It was confusing and all the signs were overwhelming.) They've been in business for 6 years and may be confident in their ways but I would like to suggest that they list the items, flavors available, AND prices, all on the same spot. The window displays look like an art project completed by employees (students) anyway, so this wouldn't be difficult to update. Also, it's 2019. Every high school employee probably has a decent camera on their cell phone, and swipe through enough instagram photos to know how to take a decent picture. Include pictures next to the items and make a price chart like below: SM. MD. LRG. FREEZY $ $$ $$$ - list flavors SUNDAES - list topping options SHAKES 3 stars because at least the employees were nice and the ice cream was delicious.

I'm not a big ice cream person, but I do love sweets, especially a sweets shop with history. I ordered a banana split. Though, it was difficult to decide what to order! This place has a peaceful vibe, but the signage is a little chaotic -- it's like walking up to a Dr. Bronner's bottle. I had to stand there for a bit and read everything while the poor girl behind the counter waited for me to get my bearings. (Luckily I was the only one in the shop at the time.) There are different colored signs everywhere, listing daily specials, new items, and things you can buy that aren't ice cream, like bags of ice and local honey. The banana split was delicious: A perfectly ripe banana split between two scoops of ice cream -- I chose vanilla and chocolate. It's topped with whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry on top. It's one of those desserts where you lose track of time when you eat it, or at least I did. All of my concentration went toward eating that magnificent ice cream concoction as quickly as possible. I decided to shovel it into my face on the big porch, which overlooks the Buckeye Lake canal. There is also seating indoors, too. Weldon's is a must-visit if you're in the Buckeye Lake area!

Apparently the inside hasn't changed much in over 50 years, per my husband's aunt. We only came here for ice cream so I can't speak much for the rest of the food and offerings. The ice cream portions are LARGE! I got one scoop, split between 2 different flavors and I barely finished it. Their ice cream selection has a lot of options and definitely be aware it will give you a sugar rush! They offer classic flavors and have rotating seasonal flavors. When we were there, coffee ice cream, my favorite, was on their rotating seasonal flavors. They also had some holiday seasonal flavors, like egg nog and pumpkin pie, since we were visiting around Thanksgiving time. I'd recommend checking their website if you want to know which seasonal flavors are in rotation. The storefront was decorated for Christmas and had a fun display of the town and inside reminds me of Happy Days. Service was relatively quick, and luckily only a few folks inside when we were there; not sure how it is when it's packed. If you like classic diner style vibes and ice cream, I'd recommend you try this place out!
