So, we were passing through Grand Junction and two of my boys needed haircuts. In our haste, we failed to recognize that Earl's is a one-man shop and as such, is a 'by-appt' only shop. We nevertheless showed up in force and he could not have been any nicer! He stopped his appointment in progress (customer was super graceful as well!) and redirected us to a nearby barber shop - walking distance - that was better staffed to handle our walk in business. And the other barber shop was great to boot! So 5-Stars+ to what I am sure would have been an unbelievable cut by a guy who understands what 5-star customer service looks like. Kudos!!!! read more

This guy is legit! Long story short, I came to him for my first time after getting my hair severely butchered at another shop (picture included to show how bad). I was pretty sure there was no way to get my head back looking normal for the next month, minimum. But Earl repaired it all the way to the extent that it's best cut I've gotten in the Valley!! He's won my business for years to come! If you're looking for a good hair cut and straight razor shave this is the place to go. Very laid back, traditional style barber shop with a obviously very skilled barber. read more

I couldn't ask for a better haircut or a better barbershop experience. Earl's shop reminds me of the barbershop my Dad and I went to when I was a kid. I've searched a long time to find a place that provided the same experience as that childhood memory. This is it. I'm picky about my haircuts and just expect to have a few bad haircuts when someone new cuts my hair. Not the case today. Earl even gave me a great shave and had some good tips for my morning shave ritual. Top notch. Now if I just didn't have to drive all the way here from Denver! Thanks Earl! read more

Don't be fooled by all the bells and whistles in this "look at me" town. There are a few guys in this town that like to call themselves barbers, EARL IS THE REAL DEAL! His talent is much bigger than his ego. Best barber between SLC & Denver, and I'd put him up against a lot of them too. Oh and to the reviewer Kim O...... Customer service for Forty years and your still calling people ass hats? Lol. Go to cost cutters in the mall they are accepting impatient, cheap, classless big mouths for shitty haircuts right now! read more

Stopped in to get my haircut before returning to Korea after leave. Earl did an awesome job! True professional that still cares about getting it right for the customer. Spent over a half hour with me and carried on a nice conversation the whole time. As if all this wasn't enough. He wouldn't accept payment as a thank you for my service! I've already told many friends to go to him if they need a haircut. Will definitely return on any other trips home. GREAT JOB! Thanks again Earl! read more

Earl is hands down the best barber on the western slope. I have been consistently going to him for the past 2 years and there isn't another salon or barber that I would trust. The 1 on 1 attention and meticulous work that he devotes to each and every client is unmatched. Very good ambiance in his shop and can hold an intelligent conversation. He makes his customers feel welcome and his passion as a true "old school" barber shines through. Keep up the great work, Earl! read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Earl while he was in Salt Lake City learning his craft. And while passing through I thought I'd stop by for a trim. Earl is truly a master of his craft. With a keen attention to detail. Beyond just a great haircut, the conversation, atmosphere and gentle cut (I've had barbers that felt like they were trying to beat my hair into submission) make for a great experience. It made me wish I lived in Colorado, so I could be a regular customer. read more

You never know you've had a bad haircut until you've had a great one! Every time I leave the barbershop at Earl's my expectations have always been met and I leave looking and feeling fresh! If you are searching for a place to get cut that pays attention to detail or possibly looking for the closest and smoothest straight blade shave then hit up my man Earl when you are in the downtown GJ area! read more

Best barber in town. Hands down. I travel a lot for my job and usually wait to get my hair cut when I'm in a major city. Not anymore. Earl has a great little shop with only one chair, but the place has a cool layout and has an old timey, but hip feel. Something you would find in downtown Portland. On top of all this, Earl gave me one of my all time best haircuts. Check this guy out. read more

My husband had his appointment today and we absolutely loved the experience. Not only did Earl do an amazing job, but his shop's ambience is so warm and classic. Everything about our experience was so personal, from the single barber chair in the shop to Earl's genuine personality. Oh, btw, his fantastic haircut was $20. Would absolutely recommend. read more

I have been going to Earl's Barber Shop for a number of years now. I think it speaks volumes when customers remain loyal to a person or place of business. It tells me Earl is a true professional, he's tremendous at his craft and more importantly, he cares about doing a great job. I highly recommend Earl's Barber Shop when needing a barber. read more

I'm staying in the Grand Junction area awhile and needed a cut real bad. It's always tough not to have your usual barber and I'd been putting off a cut till it was unbearable. The Yelp reviews led me to Earl and I'm glad it did. He's a super nice guy and a professional. My cut looks great and he'll be my go to guy while I'm in Junction. read more

I have gotten haircuts from almost every city you can imagine. This is one of the best I have ever have had. Earl is a professional! If you need your hair cut to look the best it can, not what some lady, who sometimes cuts men's hair thinks she has time to give you, then this is the place for you. read more

Great cut, beard trim and shave. Worth the wait for an appointment. Location, shoo, and Earl are all spot on. Hard to find a true barber these days, if you're looking for one, Earl is your guy... just don't expect to walk-in for a cut, you'l need an appointment to get in! read more

I've been going to Earl since he opened his shop. He always does a great job, and ensures you're pleased with the result. As a bonus, he does straight razor shaves - a definite plus! Highly recommend Earl! read more

I haven't felt this satisfied from a cut since I left the military nearly 10 years ago. It's like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Won't be going anywhere else - Earl is the man. read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Earl for over a year. Not once have I left his shop disappointed with Earl's work, the cleanliness of his workplace, or the men's hair products he provides. read more
