AMAZING staff! I've been in twice now with my little men (aged 5 & 3). Today, Dannika took care of us. Incredibly patient as my children couldn't decide if they were going to be scared or brave. While the kids were making up their minds, Dannika patiently put the high chair on and off the seat, showing extreme flexibility and tolerance. Then as my husband was getting his hair cut started, two other barbers walked in talking about their time with GJHS, having volunteered 2 hours and countless haircuts, all volunteer time, for cancer awareness at the school. I showed up for an appointment with a woman I think her name was Lauren, I could tell she didn't want to cut my hair to begin with. She was silent, very distant. I'm a flight attendant and when I told her that she moved me to another barbers chair i was upset . The barber she moved me to was great. She even said the other barber was rude. She initially was very curious when asking me what I wanted. In general I wouldn't recommend this place.the barbers seem like they are better than everyone else. read more

Final update: Chris did issue a refund and apologized profusely. We weren't on the same page as far as how the cut should have been done, however the mistakes made were not excusable for a barber to make, regardless of miscommunication between client and barber. I will say though that I am not familiar with his other barbers in his shop, and this review does not reflect on their skills. Chris is a warm and welcoming gentleman, and his shop has a welcoming vibe. I wish that I didn't have to write a poor review and tarnish a person's livelihood, and I do hope Chris uses this to perfect his craft and communication with clientele. I have left a google review but I also wanted to take to yelp to hopefully get the owner's attention. I came in on 12/30/19 for a cut based off of a friend's recommendation (granted they don't do a fade or anything special with their hair) and the shop owner, Chris, brought me back to his chair. I showed him a picture of how I would like my cut done. Nothing that any normal trained barber wouldn't be able to handle. A fade and texture on top. Chris butchered my hair, and when I say butchered, I mean I have never in my life received a cut so bad. He brought the clippers all the way up, past the crown of my head, didn't do a skin fade like I requested, but a zero all the way up, shaved off the cowlick in the back of my head, and also used clippers to "blend" one side of my head. The top was completely neglected other than the clippers. I've been getting fades for almost 10 years, and I knew this cut felt different when I was receiving it. But I was hopeful that all I needed to do was go home and put product in my hair. I paid $25 + a generous tip, and I have asked on google reviews and now here for a refund. I was offered to get fixed up at HIS shop on HIS dime, but how could I trust any of them when they let me walk out with this bad hack job, and even said it looked "dope"? Needless to say I took my business to a different shop (Faded Lifestyle) where I was taken care of. So again, I will ask Chris to refund the $25 to my card because I already had a different shop take care of me and fix the poor cut he gave me, on my own dime. Pictures are included to show what I left the shop looking like, and what the new shop did to fix my hair. Again, Chris, don't cheat someone out of a refund and try putting your mistakes on your fellow barbers in your shop. I was appalled at the cut I received and therefore would like a refund. read more

After a couple of botched haircuts elsewhere around town, is was looking for a new place to go. I came in on a Monday just walked in without an appointment. I was in the chair right away! Tyra is super friendly, we had a good conversation while she cut my hair. Everyone working in there is was also very friendly and professional. They had good music on, sports on the TVs, everyone was talking back and forth if they weren't talking to their barber. I had a great experience. No appointments allowed, per phone conversation with Barber the day before. She stated we have 3 barbers and walk-Ins are welcome. The shop supposedly closes at 5pm... so I rushed over after work and was there before 4:15..... Only 2 barbers working.... I believe the 3rd left as I was checking in. One barber seemed close to being done....he finally finished about 20 minutes later... cleaned up his work area and then causally advised me he had an appointment. That didn't sit well... but I assumed the other barber would likely finish soon. Not likely, again almost 20 minutes later.... which was a full hour of me waiting and over an hour the barber had the other customer at his station.... now the barber who worked via appointments needed to help finish the other barbers job.... I finally simply excused myself suggesting two hours (one hour plus waiting and one hour for a haircut) was beyond ridiculous. Won't return and suggest you don't go! read more
