But don't let that put you off - they have everything your traveller or commuter could need. I've popped in here countless times for travel sickness tablets, panadol, nail polish, water, gaviscon (reflux is so sexy right now), snack - you name it, I've probably been here to buy it It's a small store but there's a pharmacy counter, makeup, food and lots of other travel essentials. They manage to fit a lot in to this shop, hence the 4-stars.

Given its location though, near a Semi Chem (cheap), Lush (pricy but EPIC) and a Boots (expensive and reliable) I'm not sure what sort of place there is for this store, though I suspect it is most popular with females. Pricewise though, this place is really good and at the end of the day, that's what it will come down to for most people, myself included, which is why I would rather go to Semi-Chem.

I came in to get some lip balm due to suffering from chapped lips, I was able to find what I was looking for, and the staff seemed friendly with fast service at the checkouts, and help to find the product I was looking for. (Impressive as the checkout area was only small, given the size of the store and the fact there are no self-service checkouts) As a small store, the selection is limited but is decently stocked given their size. Due to the size of the store, the facilities are limited compared to what one would expect from Boots, and offers the bare minimum, while also shutting earlier than other nearby locations, at 6 pm. 3* - OK, good location but much better pharmacies nearby from Boots and rival brands.

The staff are polite, considerate and helpful, seemingly having a good rapport with their more regular clients. Yet even with me, an irregular visitor they seem to have an easy way about them that puts you at your ease if you're seeking advice or simply pleasant enough to briefly pass the time of day with as you make your purchase. The store itself is clean, and well presented with lots of open space which seems to be such a rare commodity in small shops these days as the owners attempt to squeeze every penny out of every square inch.

They have various pharmacists, I like when the young lady with the lovely curly hair is in as she always has excellent advice. They've even built a wee consultation room, which I couldn't believe they managed to squeeze in, as it is like I said a wee chemist. They also have lovely gifts and hair accessories. I've picked up many a wee bit of frufru for my hair ooh and also cheap hair dye. Yas! It's local and on the main street in High Blantyre, so easy to get to and they also provide awesome customer service. What more can you ask for from a wee chemist?!
