Also a review that said if you're a dad stay away. My initial appointment was very tense due to the hand picked counselor situated over an hour away from both parents' residences. Ms. Nadine listened very attentively to my concerns and the situation at hand. She was great! Honest as the day is long. As a single dad with custody I thought my goose was cooked. Nothing but pure professionalism. It's been over 2 years now and I still thank her for her dedication to my son's well being. The "call it like it is" approach helped all parties mend. I have been a client of The Peacemaker Center since July 2008 and continue to attend therapy sessions with Judy Reid. I give this practice a 5-star rating for its commitment to peace, health, and safety and its service to the community regardless of an individual's finances or situation. Throughout these past 15 years, I have had to make gut-wrenching decisions. I have worked tirelessly for life-sustaining relationships. I couldn't have made the hard but healthy choices I needed to make without the support of a highly-trained therapist. Judy provided financial aid and flexible appointments both in person and via telehealth. When I was at my absolute worst - lonely and afraid, Judy showed me she trusted me. I began to learn how to trust myself. If you are in an impossible, crazy situation and desire to work for peace and freedom, The Peacemaker Center is a positive first step on your path toward healing.

Over this time I have had the opportunity to not only meet with the individuals working there, but speak with others who have also had rewarding experiences as well. The individuals that contribute to the Peacemaker Center exemplify all of the qualities that one would be looking for while searching for any counseling services. These individuals have authentic care and exceed expectations. I have the unique advantage of being raised in a household of two psychologist parents, and I can speak with confidence when I say that the Peacemaker Center truly makes a difference in the lives of local residents. I have and will continue to recommend this center to friends and family in the future! Thank you for making a difference in our community!

I don't write reviews often, but when I do, it's because I've had an exceptional experience. I took…read moremy grandmother in for a hearing assessment because her hearing loss has been very obvious and frustrating for friends, family, and of course, herself. She was extremely reluctant to go, and would not even listen the words "hearing aid" without a fight. Understandably, the potential cost and emotional impact that hearing loss has on a person can be painful and scary. Needless to say, Dr. Curtin's approach and patient care skills were amazing. Through information, conversation, and genuine CARE and empathy, she empowered my grandmother to feel that she had a choice, and helped her truly understand how much "healthy" hearing could improve her safety and quality of life and how hard she was working when she didn't need to be. By the time she left, my grandmother rated her curiosity about hearing aids at an 8/10.... she walked in at a 0/10. We are so grateful for this progress and I know that the provider we saw would make or break how my grandmother would react to the experience. We BOTH walked out smiling, with more knowledge and a renewed sense of hope. Somethibg tells me we will be back soon to evaluate the best hearing aid for my grandma :) Thank you, Dr. Curtin!
