Took our dog in for a echocardiogram. The technicians obviously do not have any idea what they are doing. Cut our very passive dog in several places on his chest. Will not return.

I have a bunny named Berry and a dog named Vivi that absolutely love this place. Whether its an exotic pet or a puppy this place takes good care of you and your loved ones. The staff is always there with a smile and great service and insights. I got my rabbit neutered there and will be taking Vivi to get spayed as well. They always weigh your pets, give ideas as far as care, and the vet even recommended some amazing dog food Vivi absolutely loves. (Before her recommendation the dog wasn't eating

I love Eagle Veterinary Hospital! This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I can't say enough great things about the staff that works here. We first visited Eagle Veterinary a few weeks ago for Francisco's (my dog) second round of vaccines. With my other dogs, I always had a hard time getting an appointment with their vet, but this wasn't the case with Eagle Veterinary. When we first walked into the room, they treated my dog with so much care and love, that made me feel so relief....that's when I knew this was the place for us. It had been a few years since I had a puppy, so I had a million questions about everything and the staff took the time to answer every single one of them. After our second visit (3rd round of shots), Francisco wasn't feeling so great and called them right away. I am not sure who I spoke with, but we were on the phone for at least 15min just talking about puppies, what to expect after vaccines, what type of medicine to give him, etc etc. I appreciate so much the time that person took to make me feel better and clearly explain to me all the possible outcomes and things to look for. I highly recommend Eagle Veterinary Hospital!

I highly recommend this vet ! They have helped me out with dogs and my bird. They close at 530 and are open pretty early. The vet explains everything very thoroughly and goes the extra mile. Last time I brought my bird, he let me listen to its heartbeat which was very cool! this time around they are picking your pet up from the car bc of the flu virus situation. Most importantly, they are still open for emergencies, THANK YOU. The office visit is a little under $60, which is great compared to the emergency vet fee at other places. Make an appt beforehand.

This one just got back from having an abscess treated today.

I've been taking my cats to Dr. Kirlin at Eagle Vet for 15 years. I trust his handling and care of my pets. Dr. Kirlin explains everything during office visits and is very good about calling with updates if your pet has to stay to have any procedures. He has always helped me with last minute emergencies which if you have cats that go outside, always happens. Plus I take care of some of the alley cats in my neighborhood and you have to catch them when you can. I can recommend Dr. Kirlin and Eagle Vet most highly.

Penny is not a fan of vets in general but this place is the best :)

Dr. Kirlin has been seeing out cat Penny for 2 years now and the difference we've seen in her interactions with the Eagle team are night and day. Penny would meow, scratch and bite at our previous vet, not with Dr. Kirlin and his friendly staff. She acts like it's a room full of family and that makes for an easy trip. The quality of care is top notch, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, it's the best vet we've been to. I highly recommend you check them out.

I am the "use your local business" type of gal and I definitely don't like traveling for doctors visits. Typically for doctors, I use friend's recommendations but this decision came from my local business hunch. Initially I set up a well visit for my 5 month puppy and was sure to ask all the necessary pre-appointment questions. I set the appointment, came in to the top notch facility and was disappointed on several levels. I'll keep it very simple with a list of reasons for star deductions. Star deduction reason 1: I set up an appointment for $100 visit which included the vet exam, DHLPP and some other important vaccine, everything I needed to make sure my pup was in tip top shape (or so I'm told). During our visit with the nurse she asked if I would like a fecal test to check for viruses/bugs/internal stuff which cost an additional $25. Miscommunication on the receptionists part, bottom line: star deduction, let's move on. Star deduction reason #2: I'm not sure if this is standard practice, but my dog was taken out of the exam room to be examined and weighed. The vet came in, briefly introduced herself and went on with a barrage of questions and prognosis. Assuming I graduated from Veterinary school, I explained to her to please break it down for me, she told me his rare condition and how abnormal it was. It made me uncomfortable to hear this from someone who didn't explain how else his check up went. I had to ask for those details. Star deduction #3: Upon hearing the rather disturbing "abnormality" my dog has, I requested an estimate for the surgery should 6 months roll around and find it necessary to proceed. I was baffled by the nurses attempt to explain things and prices, then the vet intervened, then I had to explain myself (as a concerned customer), then I felt confused. Then the vet decided that pointing fingers was necessary to right the miscommunication with the receptionist. I got the estimate (roughly $756). I went to pay my bill and $74 was due. When I asked where the $100 came from when I set the original appointment, the receptionist stated "I declined the fecal test". Instead of continuing the debacle, I thought to myself "that was because the nurse explained to me it would $25 more than my $100 visit!" What an embarrassment of miscommunication which suffocates clientele, employees and this business! Star deduction reason #4: I call around the next day thanks to my friends referrals from all over the city. The surgery ranged from $65 to $375. The vaccines range from $36 - $85. All of the people I spoke with said how common his problem was. The vet wasn't too far off on the prognosis, but she could have handled delivering the news better in my opinion. If the service was spectacular, the GINORMOUS difference in price wouldn't concern me as much (everyone has different rates). The clinic could also use some "how to communicate with your coworkers" motivational classes. Until then Sheriff and I are on the hunt for a clinic that gives us the warm happy feelings!

Don't go here if you have anything other than a cat or dog. My bearded dragon had some sort of infection and his throat was swollen. No further diagnostics were done besides a visual exam and he was given baytril. Baytril is an overused herptile antibiotic and kills all bacteria even good bacteria. It is extremely harmful and hard on the body and should never be the first resort. With that being said my beardie was about 10 years old meaning that it would probably be even harder on him. I was away at college and my mom had to take him here so she didn't know what to do, and was so distraught when she came to his inclosure to find his body limp and his eyes protruding from his head. The antibiotic was obviously too strong for him and killed him. This was extremely negligent on behalf of the vet who I am sure just wanted to get him out of there. My mom called the vet in tears and they just said sorry and tried to not take the blame. Although herptile medicine is still a very much developing practice there was so much that could have been done before baytril. My beardie has been dead for over a month now and I can't stop thinking about all that could have been done to prevent it.

He is an amazing business owner and veterinarian and I would recommend him to anybody looking for care for their animals. Although I was very disappointed with the last few visits I have been at his clinic, that is not the way things are normally handled and I appreciate him giving me a call and speaking to me personally. 5 stars for Dr. Youssef and his professionalism! No wonder he was able to expand his business and open a kennel service across the street!

I got the call from Dr. Pittman and they were both professional and apologetic for the delay. I did receive the notes as requested and results we were waiting on. I brought my dog in since our regular vet was closed on weekends. It cost $250 to explore the wound. Once Dr. Pittman "explored" the wound and remove out two small "masses" she didn't know what it was or wasn't confident about next steps. We came back 3 days later for wound check and we noticed my dog had something similar on another paw and she removed that as well but this time sent it for testing. Also my pet insurance has requested visit notes and records to process my claim and I have even tried calling to have them send the notes needed and they still have not sent anything. When I called the receptionist states she has submitted the request and once notes are ready they will send it. Why does visit notes take over a week to do and send? Overall, I think this place makes it very inconvenient for owners as they are not responsive with requests.

Once again they never said anything about this being an emergency and then the next day our baby DIED AND I BLAME THEM!! This is our regular vet. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation, Dr. Halberg refused to see my dog due to a "staffing shortage." Again, this is my regular vet and I was there when the doors opened at 8:00am on Saturday. No triage, no brief assessment, no effort to determine whether this was an emergency -- just a refusal of care. I completely understand staffing challenges, but when a current customer presents with a pet showing serious neurological distress, I believe there is a professional obligation to at least evaluate the situation or help coordinate immediate care elsewhere. Furthermore, when I asked the front desk clerk to write the address of the Emergency Vet Hospital they recommend, she sent me to a HUMAN emergency clinic. Unbelievable. This was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience, and it has significantly impacted my trust in this practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Kirby since 1997. I happened to go on line to look at the hours of business…read moreand somehow ended up on the reviews page & I was mortified at what some people wrote. Dr. Kirby works all day every day and treats emergencies and performs surgeries all while striving to care at least 30 plus patients a day. He's the only vet in his clinic because of his high standards of patient care. Some vets don't want to work Saturday's much less check in on their patients on Sundays and in the evenings after a long day, or make follow up phone calls, and that's something Dr. Kirby expects from vets working for him, because that's what he does and has done for decades. I'm not one to ever write reviews, or even post anything as I'm one of those rare people without any social media presence, but I felt compelled to do so today. There are so many clinics in our city who won't even see your family member without putting down a credit card and charging you a large amount before your even seen, with the notion you will get credit if the entire $1,500 you put down/charged isn't used. That's not the case here. Not now or ever has been. And if you absolutely have to sometimes you can work out a payment plan. Maybe receptionist don't meet everyone's standards but, it's not easy doing that kind of work when your tired and trying to please everyone who thinks their the only important patient. I have colleagues that drive all the way from Stone Oak and beyond to see him. He's the only doctor in the clinic most of the time because his other long time colleague is semiretired and not very healthy, so patient drop off is the only way he can attend everyone. The techs that work there have been there for 10 plus years because at the very end of the day grumpy or not Dr. Kirby cares about his employees and didn't let anyone go during the hard days of Covid. If you didn't receive enough time or attention please call and state your grievances but don't sully the reputation of a good, honest, hardworking veterinarian.
