This company is the worst.!
My husband flew out and did all foot work, in securing a house rental for us. Upon completion of the paperwork and ridiculous fees to secure the rental after the sale of our currant home we assumed we would be moving into our rental with the same respect... that it would be clean and in good condition. We set up an appointment, to get the keys and did all our due diligence and confirmed the time, date and arrival a few times. But, upon arrival and after 1,600 mile drive (phone calls to this company and lots of money given to them ie... first and last, pet deposit etc.. ) we had to wait in the office for 2 hours to be given keys. That is how this relationship between us and this rental company started. So, the extremely large amount of money, no matter what your credit score says, and our well thought out planning meant nothing to these people. It gets worse. we finally get to our to the home the carpets were filthy, black and grey around all the edges, split in the entry ways, glue grey spots in one of the bedrooms, basically carpet that is overdue by the owner for replacing, there was old food under the fridge, the stove was filthy, lots of bugs and dirt in all the window seals, broken draw blinds... horrible, talk about being treated like trailer trash. We had to call them to hire a cleaning lady to come in and clean the carpets and clean the house even she couldn't believe the condition of the house. (We requested for the owner to replace the carpet, he said "No). Time was not an issue since we signed them the contract and gave them the money a month in advance so they had plenty of time to get cleaning or carpet replaced before we arrived.
(I took pictures just in case.) The carpet is in so bad of condition you can't get the dark out of the edges it's permanent now. To top it off there is still an awful mildew smell coming from the hallway stairs and the washroom that when I mentioned it they said that was normal for these parts. It's still there 6 months later. Unfortunately for us we had no choice but to accept the situation because we were not only exhausted but had pets in tow and a 28 ft trailer that needed to be emptied and returned within a few days or we would have to pay for $100.00 a day for it. So now here we are... we run across a home we want to move into and we, being honest, always following the rules, that obviously don't apply to them, gave them a one month notice... and paid it but talk about sharks. (They are trying to show the house while we are moving.) which is going to cost us $2,800. dollars to get out early and of course we lose our $700. pet deposit. I guess what really did it for me after we went in to give them our 1 month notice, Is the Rep had the audacity to make us clean the carpets on our dime and produce a receipt for it in order to get our deposit back. In other words their trying to find a way to keep our deposit. In the end he ask if we were going to leave it cleaner then when we moved in. At this point I'm so upset it might be time to get an attorney. Don't use this company if you plan on renting in the Fort Leanne's ar read more
