He puts it into words that we can relate to and provides a lot of background stories and information that helps clarify the Word. If you are looking to learn the Word of God in an non-intimidating setting, this is the place. It places a priority on discipleship and service and places a high value on its congregation and their needs.

We are part of a life group so we always have friends to sit with at functions (nice when you're new), and have been growing by leaps and bounds. Our kids are plugging into serving in different ministries like kids ministry and tech team. I work in the bookstore. There is a discipleship ministry and an evangelism ministry. There is also an Explore Compass class you can sign up if you're new to find out all about the church and meet the pastors which is awesome!

The leadership of this church has serious issues. The senior pastor, Doug, appears completely full…read moreof himself and not Jesus. Doesn't even pray! The production guy acts like the spiritual leader. What credentials does this guy even have? At least he prays more than the pastor though. The elders are completely out of touch with the congregation and appear to be gaslighting a serious problem within the church. Pretty certain key staff members have left, volunteers also, in just the last month. When an entire church is dismantled in a month, there's going to be questions! The elders would rather turn people away to other churches than answer questions. Clearly they are missing the objective. Paul would be writing a letter, stat!

Church has been home for a couple years. It went through some rough times recently but the new…read moreinterim that started a month ago is great! Pastor Trent and the staff seem to be making some great changes! Pastor Trent's messages are biblically based and I am so excited to see where this church is going. This church feels so authentic and real, and the staff seems to truly care about the people coming through the doors each and every week. I would recommend coming and seeing what this new version Foothills has to offer if you are looking for a new place to worship in the valley.
