As a matter of fact, their store pick of Bhatka 1928 is now my favorite spirit that stays front and center on the bar. (So good I now have 3 bottles). The folks in there have always been super friendly and welcoming. And, they have the absolute largest sampling selection in Knoxville. As a plus, they're happy to have you sample. I'm not going to lie - the outside of the building looks a little rough, but just a little TLC would fix that and the people are wonderful. If you have the opportunity, stop and see them! Leave the Bhatka alone though, that's all mine!

So, the Duke made the call to stock up on everything and stay home. Second thing we did, after picking up 3 gallons of mayo from Sam's, was stop over at Crossroads Liquor. Let me say, that's a class bunch running that outfit. Didn't even have to leave the car. Just called in the order (4 half gallons of Evan Williams for me, 36 wine coolers for ol'Sapph), and them boys bring it right out to ya. Very clean and hygienic way of doing business. Only problem was they couldn't get my credit card to scan and had to manually enter it. That's not a knock on them though. It probably had to do with the fact that I'd been using it to get a few scoops of mayonnaise out the jar on the way there. Ran out of spoons and must've not gotten it all licked off good. Anyways, 5 star rating for caring about there customers and providing a clean and hygienic shopping experience. #thedukeapproves

If you are ever searching for something just ask Clarence and he will do his darnedest to get it for you. He also has some great bottles that are a little pricier. For those wine snobs out there, I was able to locate a 2007, 2008, & 2009 Jordan Napa Cabernet Sauvignon selection. Those were delicious! If you find yourself on this side of town then stop in here and check it out. I prefer daytime hours over the night as the pan-handlers can get a little out of control. Clarence, the owner, was quick to offer assistance and plenty of friendly conversation. He suggested several of his favorite wines from Clarence's 'Hall of Fame', all in varying price points. He wasn't pushing in any way, just there to help and answer any questions. He was excited to offer the history on a few of the wineries. He certainly knows his stuff. I usually go a little out of my way to end up at Palace, but it's always worth it! Prices are on par and the staff is friendly.
