I found Each Day Counts a few months back when I was looking for local photographers. When I came to the site I was take back by the simple beauty of the photos, each one had such a uniqueness to them, the feeling where pouring out of each imagine. I found out the Each Day Counts is owned by Ruben Porras, when I called him he was so energetic about taking on a new projects he told me I should see some of his work at the Redding Art Hop, where his photos would be on display for a whole month. When I arrived to the show I was greeted by a very sweet, smiling man being Ruben himself, he showed me all his photos telling me a little story about each one, some made me laugh, some made me think, and some even made me cry. That is how amazing his work is, I can safely say I don't cry over simple photographs. His work shows life as it is and real people. As I spoke to Ruben about his journeys to get these photos I was taken back by his new lease on life, his new found hope for love and happiness. He has a true desire to make people feel something, either with his work or with how he brings out as he say "your inner rock star!" I have to say Ruben Porras is a fun, caring, creative man who will make you come out of your shell and have a great time while being photographed, he doesn't think photos should cost you a fortune to have those memories. He wants to offer people a fun, creative shoot at very reasonable prices. So if you have a teenager who wants their Senior photos taken, or you have friends that you just want to have a special afternoon with and save the memories, or are you planning a wedding or an engagement party, or do you want photos of your baby, or your pets?
